First thing is to check the instrument panel light adjustment switch -It adjusts the brightness of the panel lights. If that isn't it, check the fuse(s) involved in the dash board lights. Your owners manual will help for location of these items. On line copy's of the manual could be available, just google it.

car does not go over 80 mph. The display panel shows a message when I reach 80 mph "speed limited to 80 mph". Owners manual says something about a magnetic balance?
