2008 cruise control button lights up but not on control panel- no cruise control

light on steering wheel comes on when pressed but no cruise control and light on instrument panel does not come on.  unable to set cruise.

Check your brake light switch. It is located above the break and gas pedals. I had the same issue but also, my rear window break light would stay lit with my foot off the gas. I fixed the brake light switch which, not my cruise control works. Good luck!

I cannot get the lower panel down to get at the switch I removed 2 screws?
