How much would you have to lift to get the front tires of a VW bug off the ground?

In the 1960s I could lift the front tires of a VW beetle off the ground.  How much
was I lifting?

This was a typical Bacchanalian challenge for us jocks back in the Sixties. The guy who said, "not that much" obviously does not know much about heavy objects and what it takes to pick them up. Three or four hundred pounds is a bit more than "not that much".

My answer seems too heavy. I had very strong legs and hips at age 25 but I was tall and slender. I did one rep on six or so occasions.
