97 dodge ram 1500 2wheel drive not going in drive

Ok so here it is I rebuilt my tranny on my truck because I thought my drive clutch packs
were bad but now I only have reverse. My truck kicks like it wants to go into drive but it
won't it kicks in then drops out of drive before it even moves. HELP
