when i coast when driving, i can hear almost like a humming sound coming from the front tires, what could cause this because when i drive my parents car i do not hear it?

It could be just the type of tyre fitted, for example if you have got mud & snows on you will hear alot more road noise that you would from a standard tyre. If you are getting this noise which builds up with road speed and gets louder with change of direction then I would suspect a worn wheel bearing.
