what would cause the front caliper to sudenly just lock up like i had the emgency brake on when we all know that only locks te back brakes and this happened on my 96 ford thunderbird

what would cause  my brakes in the front  just to lock up out  the blue and then
release after some time. one of local auto parts said it might be brake lines are
getting corroded and to replace them well i bought them and caliper rebuild kits
to see if this will help what do u think?

In most cases when it locks up but over time releases the rubber brake line is the culprit.

thanks i am going to put he new lines on and sense have he calipers off to replace the line i was going to kill two birds with one stone by rebuilding the calipers to
