Put the OB2 on it and pay close attention to the MAF and Throttle position sensor ,, check your fuel pressure

I can't remember the year(s) affected, but I seem to remember Ford had problems with their throttle bodies that would cause these same symptoms. They replaced so many that the throttle bodies were backorderd for a period of time.
My ford f-150 the rpm gose up then down to 0 and the truck turms off and while driving also
