2017 Kio Rio Certified

Asked by Loftonc16 May 29, 2018 at 11:05 PM about the 2017 Kia Rio

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Bought a 2017 kia rio certified and I'm having a problem. I was at a red light,
turns green, go to accelerate and my car jerks then drives with the pace of
traffic. Get to the next light and turn right my car starts revving, like when
your in park and accidently press on the gas, speed decreases to about 25.
Pull over turn off car and let it sit for a couple min, then turn on, everything
sounds good till I try to accelerate again. More revving and cant get past 20
mph, keeps decreasing in speed and driving with hazards, till it finally stops
about a block and half from my house. Now it turns on fine and there is no
gages or sensors lit, but whenever I put into drive or neutral it wont move.
Any help with what I should do?

Your car may still be under factory warranty.

Yes the car is still under warranty. I've only just recently gotten the car and driven about 400- 500 miles on it when it did this. I was just trying to see what it could possiby be in case they try to not cover whats wrong with the vehicle. Thank you for the response.
