Car hesitated to start

The engine light came on yesterday and today it didn't want to start . I got a message on the dashboard that said something about my remote start. I didn't even attempt to remote start my car, I just got in and press the start button. After a few minutes of just sitting there it started. Why is this happening?

hey when I ride down the road I hear a noise in the back of my car do anybody else have that noise in that car would like to know what it could be
