Car starting

Asked by GuruY92MG Feb 19, 2018 at 08:40 AM about the 1995 Jeep Cherokee

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 95 Jeep Cherokee. Recently it has begun
to have real problems getting started ( I know it’s
old, but I think there’s  more to it than that). One
time it didn’t even turn over for about 2-3 seconds
before struggling, then firing up. Idk if it’s the
battery cuz the interior lights come on w/o problem.
The starter? A weak connection  to the battery?

make sure any electrical connections are tight and not worn , could be a weak batt. or a crappy starter , be more descriptive , does it turn over slow , first thing in the morning , after short trips ? ?
