why rear tail lights do not come on

have a 1979 el camino front lights come on rear lights will not . checked fuse they are good.

Replace the cigarette lighter and/or radio fuse. I had one way back when and I THINK that was what I did when mine went out way back when. Fuses are deceiving. They can look good and still be bad. Let me know.

There is a wiring cluster that runs in the left rear tire well. The clip that holds might have gotten broken and the tire rubbed into the wires.
