2024 Jeep Wagoneer S styling
Jeep resurrected the Wagoneer nameplate back in 2021 for use as a premium subbrand. As the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S is prepared for launch under this umbrella, its name hints at the more luxury-oriented and less off-road rugged nature of the vehicle. The Wagoneer S features an updated and sleek seven-slot grille, which is thin and closed off since an electric vehicle doesn’t need air flow for cooling its motor.
This is flanked by thin headlights, and the aerodynamic hood leads to a raked windshield. Flush door handles, a sloping roofline, and a cantilevered rear spoiler all contribute to aerodynamics, resulting in the Wagoneer S’s 0.29 coefficient of drag (CD). This is the lowest CD ever for a Jeep vehicle.
The Wagoneer S is notably bereft of chrome, which Jeep says is a result of the design team incorporating more environmentally friendly processes and materials. Instead, the Wagoneer S features satin-painted accent trim.
Initially, the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S will land at dealerships in a well-equipped Launch Edition trim. This version will feature gloss black and dark neutral grey exterior elements, 20-inch gloss black wheels, and a standard dual-pane panoramic sunroof.
2024 Jeep Wagoneer S interior design and practicality
Jeep says the Wagoneer S will offer standard heated and ventilated front and outboard rear seats, the latter being segment-exclusive.
The dashboard is covered with 45 inches of usable screen space, including a digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen running Uconnect 5, and a 10.25-inch front interactive passenger display with a privacy function to reduce driver distraction. A new set of EV pages will be added to the infotainment system to allow owners to monitor charging states and power usage.
These systems will be capable of receiving over-the-air updates. Audio comes from a 19-speaker, 1,200-watt McIntosh sound system.
A vinyl anti-microbial surface coating is used for the steering wheel, while electronic door releases replace traditional pull handles. The Wagoneer S has an 85-litre frunk and 849 litres of cargo space with the rear seats upright, or 1,727 litres with them folded.
The Wagoneer S Launch Edition receives standard customizable LED lighting with day and night settings and 64-colour ambient lighting.
