What owners say
"Overall, owners are very fond of the 2012 Dodge Durango, praising its spaciousness, comfort, and stylish design. Many appreciate the vehicle's ability to accommodate a large family, while also enjoying its decent fuel economy for its size. However, some drivers have expressed concerns about the transmission performance, noting that it struggles on hills and could benefit from better gearing. Despite these few drawbacks, the Durango is seen as a great value for those needing a reliable family vehicle."
Awesome vehicle for the big and tall family. Plenty of "pick up and go." Not a "boxy" looking vehicle. Roomy and plush. Stylish and dependable. Now my husband wants his own. Dodge Durango Crew rocks! Can't go wrong with this vehicle.
March 28, 2014It rides and drives as good as our Cadillac sedan. The 3 rows of seats have good leg room. I would compare it to a Suburban but the smaller size makes it easier to park and navigate. Beautiful leather interior. It gets good gas mileage for the size of it. It is a great value,
March 13, 2022Can bring the whole family with three rows, great fit and finish, great cargo capacity and towing capacity. Everyone together and towing my boat with Hemi power! It's hard to beat. Makes my old Durango seem just old. This is a vast improvement and we love it.

August 24, 2021The car alone is awesome. Dodge has a wonderful line of vehicles. I wouldn’t add anything extra to this model.
January 2, 2021Good car a lot of maintenance and parts are not cheap
April 29, 2023In Europe we don't have many options for 7seating. All the tiny asian or Opel Zafira's are a joke in manner of space and comfort and you have to pay much more for the same options which you have standard in the Durango. The sound of the Hemi is so nice. I enjoy it every thay to start it. However it could have some more power. 360HP for a 2,500kg car is on the lower side to call it SportUV. This car would be the best example of a V8 Supercharger combo. Especially with the, I have to say, lousy 6 speed tranny. Who has decided to have this poor ratios. 1st Gear to til 80km/h and 2nd till 130km/h? That's a waste of power as on hilly roads (we live in Switzerland) requires you to floor it all the time. This however will throw you in 1st Gear where you can accelerate to 80km/h and than it falls completly on its face on a 10% ascending road. If you are above 60km/h it will not downshift and therefore you are slow as a slug. I/ve never driven such a badly geared tranny. That's the most annoying and disappointing thing on the car but as well the only really sad thing. With better gearig the fuel economy would be much better too, soo this point is related to the bad tranny point. Besides that I love this car. It gives you huge cargo area and is able to handle 7 persons. I would buy it everytime again, especially if it would have the 8 speed which will come for the V6 ;-)
