Fun roadster that's fun for carving through the streets. Great car that's quick for what it is but could use a little more horse power and torque. Overall, I recommend this car as a daily driver or a weekend racer.May 14, 2015

Patrick George (Jalopnik Future Classics) pointed out that the current auto market offers nothing to replace this car. You can get a Miata or a Boxster and have a great roadster, and that is a good thing. But neither car is what this car is. For a lot of people, that's a good thing in many ways. But if this checks all your boxes, nothing else will.
Note: It's dumb to require any rating; reliability and maintenance costs are still unknown, but are typically non-issues for these cars.
Update 8-22-15: the more I drive it, the more I love it; same goes for my wife, who had some "been-there, done-that" issues with owning a convertible at first...May 06, 2015

Great warm weather cruiser, back-road blast and capable track toy. Surprisingly versatile with decent space in the trunk for its size. Classic looks and a very driver-focused cockpit. One of the best gearboxes anywhere at any price, period. Almost impossible not to have fun driving an S2000.Apr 01, 2015

I loved everything about this car. It met and exceeded all my hopes and expectations while having Honda dependabiity. There is no better shifter to be found, it is very quick, handling si go-cart like in immediate responsiveness and no body lean, controls are intuitive and simple, cabin is simple and functionalOct 12, 2014

This is by far the best value for money if you are looking for a sporty weekend car. Great space for luggage (for 1) seats are OK, engine is amazing! The road noise when the top up is a bit much.Jul 02, 2014

Handling, power, looks.... I have been driving this car for 7 years and it still makes me smile when I pull out of a turn. It has ageless looks. Digital instrument cluster and Xenon headlights. The leather seats keeps you in place regardless of how hard you drive.Mar 15, 2014

Great four cylinder engine that screams all the way to 8000 rpm. Quick steering, nimble handling. Trunk is wide enough to hold my golf clubs with room for a small carry bag. Small cockpit makes it difficult for taller (~6 ft) drivers to get in and out. Easier getting in with top down. Only slim drivers need apply.Mar 03, 2013

I had fun with this car. My dad now owns it. It did let me down though. It had/has alot of little dumb problems with build quality that I would not have thought to be on a Honda. A fun little vert.Mar 30, 2010

the car is fast from the factory and is exciting to drive everyday, when it hits vtec its alot fast but the gas dose go down fast for a small light weight car, i would recomend it to any oneMar 11, 2010

The only Japanese car I have ever thought had any hint of "soul". This car is an absolute unmitigated blast to drive. My mid-life purchase; my MG from high school...except this car actually starts, runs and doesn't break down.Jan 30, 2010

The car is too small. Not a lot of usable space. Great car to drive, good handling good gas mileage. I believe it has good looks, and relatively cheap to maintain. Only down side is that the car is not very practicalOct 27, 2009

Engine mods: Greddy AP2 Turbo Kit, Berk 70mm HFC, Invidia V4 Exhaust. Car puts out 333rhwp /236tq @ 10 PSI, Spoon drilled racing brakes, Tein ss suspension, never had any problems with the car built very well, Almost everything on the exterior and interior is Spoon. This is my second S2000 and the reason for that is not because it's the faster car out on the roads of Vermont, but based on the type of raw performance it delivers. It's unlike any other sports car on the market today. I also appreciate how through 10 years of production, the car has remained practically unchanged. Why you may ask? It's simple! Great Car, Rear wheel drive is always a plus for speed and cornering, makes the first few corners feel interesting enough with the sliding. Cost about $50 to fill it up, Never needed Maintenance or anything,an Amazing car overall. I'd Gladly take another one.May 15, 2009

The only thing i would ad to this car to make it the perfect sports car would be about 80 more horsepower. Other thank that, i dont see myself selling it for anything in the near future. Even if i sell it i would buy another as a pure weekend racer. May 10, 2009

Best NA 2.0 Engine Block in production. Great Gearbox.
Love the scream at 9.200rpm redline.
Great Performance, brakes with fury and steering is
precise.
build quality is excelent, some of the best i've seen.
love the appearance
Nice gas mileage, while using 98oct fuel only

Awesome vehicle. Love it. On the road or at track days it is great. Performance not quite what it could be at highveld altitudes but it still kics ass and at the coast it is mond blowing.
Reliability is great and other than a new battery at 34000km it has not given me a days trouble.

With the power band in the upper middle range, this car has a rocket like scream when you get up to 5k rpm................then the rocket boosters kick in, the neck snaps back and you hold on to about 8K and do that all over again through each of the 6 gears. It's beyond fun to drive. Don't have enough space here to write a full review, but my guess is the C&D & R&T journalists have already done it justice.Apr 15, 2008

Screaming Vtec engine, agile, absolutely bullet proof engineering and build, cheap servicing, great performance, great value for money, practical, fade free brakes, great suspension and damping. Awesome.
