2006 Ford Mustang Reviews, Pricing & Specs

This car is bone stock performance-wise and I've still only met a handful of cars on the street that can take it.

A mustang is a very powerful and fast car. It is not ment for everyone, if you don't like speed, don't buy it. I love the older mustangs '68 '69 and I like the new ones, from '05 on but I don't really like the ones from the '90's. The new ones resemble the '68 fastback. Pretty much the Mustang is the best Car EVER!

great car for anybody looking for some fun or just a car to commute back and fore to work with very good fuel economy. Would recommend this car to most and can is also very cheap on parts due to it being american!!

The car is a dream come true. It is the exact car I wanted before I started to look for a Mustang. It has a spoiler and looks great, like a sophisticated muscle car. Nice power and ergonomics. Great stereo system too.

this car is absolutly amazing there is nothing about this car i dislike the performance is great my car is tungsten gray with red leather interior it has 350 horsepower it has a flowmaster exhaust system and a roush intake kit but everything else is stock

* Performance - 330HP/300 lbs of torque stock GT... nuff said * Build Quality - great frame and engine * Appearance - fastback retro look really sets this car apart, only grip I had was lack of modern technology in the interior * Cost of Ownership - gas was decent for a GT, 20 mpg hw, 16 city * Fun Factor - I had a lot of fun with this car, if gas wasn't so high and I lived down south I would have kept it... not fun to drive in the snow...

I fell in love the retro style of this car. It has the flashback design of the 1960's body style and the Legend Lime green paint scheme from the same era. The interior design as well is cool and retro. The car is comfortable, sporty, and is definitely an attention grabber! The best part is the 210 stock hp on the V6 engine.

I never had one problem with it .it came with the 281v8 small block the car was a work horse, the 3 valve single over head cam was voted one of the top 10 motors built

Love it. It's fun, gets a lot of looks and has been rediculously dependable. Gas mileage is respectable too, for a V8. Mine is definitely just toy though. I never drive it in the Winter. Even though surprisingly enough it gets out of the snow in the driveway when I have to snowblow. With the cool factor and the sound it makes, and for the money, it's a nice whip. I'd definitely buy another one. Hell this one is my third. I had an 85 GT and a 90 LX 5.0 This new chassis is way improved over the Fox Chassis. My next one is gonna be a Coyote 5.0

I love this car. I recommend it to anyone the only thing that sucks is it doesn't do to well in snow or winter time. This car is amazing to drive the sound, the way it gets up to high speeds fairly quickly. Its just an all around amazing car.

This car is a blast to drive. It will get up and go, and will bark the tires shifting into second gear. One quick stab of the gas and I pass everyone. Handles very well, and it feels more solid than my 2001 'Stang GT convertible did. I no longer have the "sitting in the bathtub" feeling I did when this body style first came out.

I've really enjoyed this vehicle. I have owned Mustangs before but none have handled with such aplomb as this model. It's very quick for a V6 and nearly sounds like a V8. I bought the car used a year and a half ago with 10k miles on it. It now has 29k miles on it and I still look forward to any opportunity to drive it. I had to have a new top put on it as the adhesive was failing around the back glass. Ford replaced it under warranty. I've had no other problems with the car and look forward to having it for a long time. I still have people frequently telling me, "Nice car!"

The new 2006 Saleen Mustang is based off of the same engine and drivetrain as the 2005, but this supercharged, 3-valve V8 is pushed up to 465hp. ENGINE 281 CID (4.6L) 3-Valve SOHC V8 465 HP @ 5800 RPM425 lb-ft TQ @ 4000 RPM 3.55” x 3.54” Bore & Stroke 39 lb/hr Fuel Injectors 98 mm MAF Port Matched Series VI Integrated Twin-Screw Supercharger Dual-Stage Water-to-Air Intercooler System Hi-Flow Inlet Tube, Air Box Cover & Filter PowerFlash™ Performance Calibration 2.5” Stainless Steel Center Exhaust System

It was a nice car , nice acceleration, nice sound, nice performance, and nice appearance. I liked driving the car a lot. It gets other people's eyes and attention. I was very fun driving it. I liked it a lot. I recommend this car.

Beautiful Car, goes like a bat out of h*@$. The handling... the power assisted steering makes it handle perfectly. It corners like it was glued to the pavement. Driving this car is a lot of fun and you get looks all the time when you drive by in a black/black/black convertible Quality. It now has more rattles in it than you could imagine. Even the chrome trim across the dash rattles. It seems to be all little plastic pieces that break. I can't imagine the original mustang having plastic levers to let the seat move forward for someone to get into the back seat. The air conditioning system had to be repaired the first year and replaced completely this year. For $43,000 you would think Ford could put a little more quaility into the car.

I love this car. I bought it used with 21000 miles on it and it hasnt given me any problems yet. Along with the long pipe headers and cold air intake i put in it its given me amazing gas mileage and plenty more power. Its a work in progress right now but will get better as i get the money to put into it.

I love this car with all my heart. The Ford Mustang has been my dream car ever since I was 15 years old. When Ford came out with the new retro body style, I fell even more in love with the Mustang. I love everything about this car except for the color (which I like, don't get me wrong - good Florida State color) and the fact that it is a V6 (but I must be reasonable with gas prices being the way they are). Even though it IS a V6, this girl can still haul if she wants to!! The wheels are the Mustang wheels as opposed to the stock, crappy lookin', Ford wheels. It's a 5-speed manual transmission. I rockin' the Shaker 500 system until the warranty runs out, at which point I will replace the whole sound system with something from the depths of my mobile installer imagination. Some additional fun options are the power seats, fog lights, spoiler and fun color-changing gauges. LOL!!

Handling was very good, since I had the pony pkg which has GT parts, just not the engine. Braking was amazing. The steering wheel has just the right amount of stiffness. Even for a v6 this car has some bite, and a nice sports car sound. I've put my mustang through all kinds of punishing stuff, but it came out like the champion it is.

I love this car. Its easy to drive, FUN to drive and the engine sounds awesome. Good handling and all that jazz.

Car is a GREAT choice -- power, style, comfort, and decent mileage (18-20 mpg) to boot. Incredible retro styling with modern lines, and the comfort, convenience and security of modern manufacturing technologies. The GT is fast, capable, and secure. One of the stiffest convertibles around. And with the top down there is NOTHING more attractive out there

I like the car. I drove it 800 miles in 2 days so I got to know it pretty well, Its more comfortable the my previous 98. It has a new touches that solve problems, that to me dont exist. Like a single button express window feature that lowers all at once. Related to that there is only one button for both rear windows. As far as value goes all used car prices are insane now. In a normal market this car is to me, 7 to 8000 instead of the 10,900 I paid. All in all the price is what its worth no. I so far have no complaints and Im glad I bought it.

Loved my 06 Mustang. The styling was fantastic. Used it as my daily commute car, comfortable, sporty, fairly good gas mileage. Routine maintenance was not expensive. Really captured the spirit of the original Mustang. Will buy another to keep for posterity.

Enjoy the ride and excitement behind the wheel. Car handles very well and is fun to drive. It has great acceleration! Gas mileage is good too! Love the roomy trunk for transporting items. Back seats fold down also! Love it!

Overall with a couple appearance mods this car looks fantastic! The ride is very comfortable for the most part, but starts to feel a little stiff if you drive anywhere long distance (3+ hours). I use it as a daily driver and for fun on the weekends and if I'm driving nice I can get about 22 city and 28-30 highway using regular gas. There is little road noise but it is noticeable if the inside of the cabin is quiet. The acceleration is what you would expect from a V6 sports car, my dads 2007 impala can match it. The handling and braking however are steps above most cars, and I always felt very in control no matter what speed I was driving. Meitenance cost for me was low because I know what I'm doing and just do it myself, I could see it getting expensive if you hire everything out though. Overall it's a blast to own and drive!

The car was built by Shelby to give a better than average acceleration, braking and handling. It met and exceeded my expectations. The car is very safe and a lot of fun to drive and a great show car that always gets thumbs up.

Looks like a kick-a$$ Mustang with the responsive, sporty R&P steering...add to that a killer sound system and a more rear-end and back-friendly ride! Luxury with a sporty twist...this is my dream car. Runs like a scalded dog but offers terrific gas mileage with the sensible V6 engine. I am so very pleased and have no regrets that it took three+ weeks and hundreds of miles to find it. Ford finally got it right, a sports car can be beautiful, comfortable, and loaded with goodies...My new to me Mustang convertible is the TOTAL PACKAGE! If it is as dependable as my '92, I'll be happy 'til some schmuck comes along and totals it for me...praying for no more accidents!!! Want to thank my dad for making this dream possible! Love you Papa!

The car drives as if it is brand new, looks good an it is a head turner. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly this car reminded me what's important in a car...a good sounding and performing engine with great performance. I have had no issues with this car.

This car is very nice and super clean. Only one other owner besides me. I really enjoy driving this car. It is fast and fun! Can't beat the sound of a GT=============== The shaker system ROCKS! It is a beautiful car and I get compliments on it every time I am out in it.

has fast acceleration with 0-60 in 4.9 sec it has the look of the old but a more modern look. avg 18 mpg but the higher the gas milage means less the fun and speed it is a fun car to drive. new is 28k but cheap for a sports car

this is truly amazing car for the ammout of money it is worth. for 28,000 u get 300hp, 5 speed manuel, leather seats, and 5 spoke crome rims

Fun to drive, solid, quiet, and smooth.

This car has some real get-up-and-go power. The new brakes and tires really add to the handling. Great for the summer with the top down. Although it's not really a family car, you can fit two people in the back seat. The added stripes really sets this Mustang apart from the rest.

Wish it had the next generation motor, but, its powerful enough to get into trouble just the same. It is fun to drive, it is cool. Sounds great and pulls good, traction is excellent, steering is firm, radio is good, Don't try to haul the basketball team the rear seat is small.

Monster is amazing. We actually managed to beat a 2008 Chrysler 300C SRT-8 in a street drag. Handles rough terrain well. Does great brakestands. Doesn't like to drift. Very fun to drive. He will run with the best of them.

Head turner for sure, few boltons helps get it runnin. Special order red interior makes the car twice as cool. I love this car alot and if you drive it decently it will get 18 miles per gallon, not bad.

It's too small but I love it. It's fast and cute. I get alot of compliments on color. It's not as bad on gas as people think. It is very fun to drive. I love it but it isn't for every body.

Best car I ever owned she was a dream come true from the start up and the roar of the engine to the comfort and love to drive her I can find no fault in my mustang beautiful car all round

The car has decent take off. It really kicks in when it hits 2nd gear and then has great excelleration from there. Car looks great, with a mean low stance to it. Runs on 20" rims with performance tires that really set the car off along with the stipe package. Gas mileage isn't to bad as long as you use cruise control and keep your foot out of it. The only problem with it is that the car is black, and is very hard to keep clean. The car is very fun to drive and gets many looks running through the streets.

best car i ever had and drove corners well has lots of pep fun to drive real head turner i love driving it comfortable ride, not to bad on gas ,everyone always comments on how it looks and wished they had one ,its been my dream for many tears to have one , 47 yrs later and i have one

love the car wish it had a little more chrome the quality is there and the ford name has stood up to whut ever i thru at it . I had an 1994 and i loved it so i had to upgrade. this is a car that i would suggest to anyone looking for a sporty and comfortable car.
