The review for this car can be summarized in one short question. Got 50mpg? Car is comfortable and roomy. Handles great in rain or shine. Looks great! I just hoping the price of diesel fuel stays low. If all goes well I will stay in the TDI family for a long time.
November 24, 2009Performance - The power isnt that great (only 153 bhp) but the handling is superb for being a Golf Build Quality - Its from germany, I say no more. Appearance - Clean, half boring look. But its works for med. Cost of Ownership - Really ceap to drive! Fun Factor - Its really fun to drive, for a midi golf.
October 25, 2009mid to high performance( Cam, underdrive pulley, suspension, brakes, tires, exhaust, CAI, GIAC chip, HID Lights) Build Quality- only repairs needed, was a timing belt, water pump, alternator) Appearance- I get compliments everywhere I go Cost of Ownership- about 25 mpg, and $40 oil change twice a year. Very Fun to Drive

February 13, 2008Great performance good acceleration strong brakes the handling is alrite fantastic build quality and the car looks superb it hasnt needed any repairs because it is that good is hasnt broke teh apperance is exqusite and the car is generally amazing to drive.
September 28, 2009Great first car for someone. Very reliable,fun to drive. Speed demon it is not. Never had and issues other than basic maintenance. Mileage on the 2.0L is ok. Always have had a volkswagen,(9 in all) over all great car.
June 6, 2013Great car, runs like a top, does everything we need it to do, cheap to maintain, looks good, handles excellent, has all the toys -- heated seats rock! Getting a little tight for the kiddies inside but still a great car.
January 23, 2009Was the SE model with 1.9 TDI 105 PS engine, plenty of torque and moved quite well. It had the luxury pack on it - auto dim rear view mirror and something else, bought off Avis when it was 3 months old with 12'000 miles on the clock! never had a problem with it up to the day i got rid off it with 40'000 mile on the clock in April 07.
