Excellent value, great looking and fun performing, must address the 138 HP engine while quick and responsive could certainly use a horsepower upgrade. Car has zero room for anything other than 2 occupants. Minimal storage but great fun to drive !Dec 12, 2024

I haven’t yet bought a mr2, but drove one last weekend. The semi auto shift is not my thing, but still loads of fun to drive. I bid on a 2004 model on eBay but it went unsold at a bid over $11,000.00 . Hoping to find a low mileage one soon in the $7500.00 range. I’m afraid of the earlier models because of the precarious problems. Mar 01, 2020

This has been a great car. I've never had a single mechanical problem in the 3 years owning it. All reguarly scheduled maintenance has been kept. The speed and lighweight of the vehicle makes for a fun driving experience. Being that I have child on the way, this car isn't as practical for driving a baby.Sep 24, 2014

sporty appearance, 4 cylinder engine, very good condition, affordable, great fuel efficiency. Tires needed balancing and front end was aligned - handles like a dream. I would buy this vehicle again. The dealership was outstanding. Fantastic customer service - it was an excellent transaction.May 16, 2014

Awesomely nimble, great performance- out of cars in its same category (MG TF, Mazda MX5 and Honda) its easily the best! Not bad fuel consumption, even if you drive like a crazed lunatic! A little problem it has is propensity of getting stone chips- toyota paint isn't as solid as others!Jul 27, 2009

This is the best car I have ever owned! Beautiful styling, the roof down on sunny days, great acceleration and a nice "growl" from the engine. I used to wish I hadn't sold my Celica. Now it's history! Even the fuel consumption and insurance costs aren't too painful. May 12, 2009

Fast, great handling, decelerates as soon as you take your foot off the gas, so my well-preserved brakes are mostly used for coming to a complete stop. Reliable--only repairs are standard maintenance and oil changes. Consistently gets great mileage--30 in mostly city driving, 36 on long road trips (at 80 mph). Total strangers on the road and in parking lots give me compliments on this car, and it is TONS of FUN to drive. After owning it for four years, I still drive the 30-mile circle to get donuts down the street, and hit the mountains once a week just for the fun of it!Dec 24, 2008
