The features are wonderful and easy to use. I bought this car used with the mileage at 132,000. It is now at 209,000 and I have put in at least 8,000 in parts and maintenance. It rides so smooth but the cost every time to fix something is costly. This car is missing nothing it is really great and if I divide how many months I’ve owned it with the years I’ve had it and the cost it basically works out to a new car payment monthly . If you can look at it this way with its safety and drive features then owning this model is worth it!!!Apr 26, 2022

On the motorway or even on a windy country road a C220 CDI is a great drive... heavy, solid, reassuring in corners, smooths out bumps, fantastic speakers and noise proofing and looks great tearing up the country... however after about 200,000 kms everything seemed to break... and I mean everything...
A/C broke, Bulbs blew constantly, air flow meters broke constantly, Engine ABS and ESP and other warnings on constantly... Paid thousands of Euros on regular repairs/replacement parts... Eventually it started losing power and ended up being dangerous... I would sooner buy a 1990 vintage MB rather than the 2001 and later models... too much computers and too much to go wrong... stay away.Apr 23, 2013

I love this car. It suits me perfectly. Its a classy Mercedes, not quite as large as the E class so its perfect for young and old alike. It has go power, awesome stereo system (minus cd player), beautiful interior, plenty of storage space, and the ability to shift as a manual car.Jun 26, 2012

This is the new car to the garage, it is a Mercedes Benz C320. With it's styling and V6 engine it is a comfortable and fun to drive car. It comes with all the optional extra's and conveniences. The one convenience I love is the follow me home lights, saves fumbling for the keys for the house door in the dark.
The only down fall is the fuel price, but hey if you want to drive this car you must be able to pay for the fuel. :-)Apr 20, 2011

Performance isnt great but not really a performance car more for crusing and
has a slight delay when you floor it.
Build quality is amazing no squeaks no rattles and no cheap parts.
Interior and exterior styling are exquisite just look at it,beautiful lines.
Cheap on fuel,even tho its supercharged,parts and sevicing are a whole other
thing tho.
The car is very fun to drive and you get a whole lot of attention, often from the

Diesel is more than powerful enough to get the car to move, although turbo lag
is very noticeable. Diesel torque is very nice when overtaking on motorways.
Build quality doesn't disappoint, although you can hear a few rattles, esp from
the first aid kit lid.
Ride is kinda disappointing, since my 1990 190E rode better and handled
better. It's like Stuttgart learned nothing in all those years.
The reason being they invested all their time in the electro-nanny called ESP,
which is always in the background, reining in all possible fun you want to have.May 17, 2010

My first Merc certainly ended up being a huge disappointment. Got stuck in Free State in heatwave with very poor back up while on Motorplan. In fact, Merc has one of the worst motorplans of all. Having to pay in a percentage of cost has resulted in many frustrating hours at Mercedes Benz. The German-American partnership caused a drop in quality and I believe later Mercs are better. Also, I learned never to touch a manual Mercedes. The quality of the ride was impressive although I suffered suspension failure. Apr 27, 2010

supremely comfortable, handles well, decent power from the 2.6l engine. looks good without being overstated. purchased more for comfort and auto gearbox than because its a mercedes.
economy is ok for the size of engine, i managed 33.8mpg over a 460 mile journey.
it can be fun to drive if you rev the nuts off it and use the tiptronics 'box. capable of 145, but i've only taken it to 122mph according to my satnav.Feb 12, 2010

Great body style, performance from the 3.2L v6 is excellent, steering/suspension is very good, not hard like my BMW but can handle corners well with a fairly plush ride, ABS/ESP system works excellent, Interior trim very well put together the rated fuel mileage of 26 mpg is spot on, drive with the active cruise control on @ 72 mph and you can get 28mpg which to me is acceptable considering your in a well built and safe vehicle that has 8 airbags in it to bootJan 02, 2010

first it`s not C240. It`s C 200 Kompressor Year 2001. And it`s not mine, but my fathers. I actually don`t own a car. But that`s the car I love to drive.

i lowered it too much and know it is a bumpy ride. its is not too bad on power for a four cylinder. it is really good on fuel. needs no maintenance.It is not too bad to drive i like it for the time being.Nov 02, 2009

good acceleration, reasonable handleing, comfortable to drive long distances, gets good mileage around town around 11 ltrs per 100k and down to 7.5ish on the open road. Quite a good work horse I have put 270,000 k's on it and it still runs well. Can be expensive to repair.I have had to recondition the diff which cost around 8 K services are a standard sort of cost. Performance - great handling.
Build quality - the best build i have ever seen, handles side crashes pretty well.
Appearance - Leather seats, outside silver color, super.
Cost of ownership - fuel is the only down part.

performance is normal , buildqualtity could be better but we dont complain!
interior is a bit plastic so benz lost his luxe with that but the milageratio is realy good ,,

ECU replacment is about $1200 a pop, there's at least 4. Oil changes are %80+. Solid ride, low road noise, comfort is outstanding. Capable of ralle racing. Disc nav system is outdated now. Handling is superior to American cars even while needing tuning.Jun 13, 2009

Cost of Ownership is balanced with the performance and appearance! Solid, stately and sporty! Once the kinks are repaired the car becomes less irritating and the fun begins. It is a car that needs to be driven not driven in.Feb 02, 2009

Top end grunt is amazing, but very slow off the mark. Low road noise, beautiful handling, fantastic ride quality. Good on fuel, and stylish to boot!
The Kompressor engine is what makes it. Id hate to even think about a C180 natural aspirated donk, although Im sure it would be alright at full flight.Jul 30, 2008

Great car. Sporty to drive especially in the mountains of NC. Very quick when needed. The only down side to this car is the electrical quirks that come up. The passenger side window and the sun roof will stop working. I have to reset the controls for them to start working again.Jul 21, 2008

A great car, especially for long trips, motorways, where this car fell home ... the V6 engine powers the car engough to give the pleasure of never missing power ...
However a turbo would have made it fun ;)

the quality of the exterior & interior is solid. It had that elegent yet sporty appearance.the performance is adequate but cld do better with. Mine is the Avant Garde spec, so interior styling is nice & sporty yet be approved by all ages.Dec 31, 2007
