The car was in good shape for the year. However, the hood did not align

This car is awesome. Engine looks brand new....and most of it is! Handles great. Excellent value for the money....and its a Honda which I love. Nothing compares to a Honda in my opinion.Nov 19, 2020

I like that you can customize this car as you please because there are so many parts and accessories for it but I am more of an American Muscle kinda guy. Don't get me wrong, this car can get me to around and not hurt my pockets but its just too small, too low and too light. I was driving on a very windy day and the wind kept pushing the car so it looked like i was swerving. It also gets stuck in snow a lot and tends to slip and slide on snowy roads. I like it enough to keep it and continue to work on it but I wouldn't buy another.Feb 16, 2015

I really liked how the car handles, the gas mileage is perfect easy to park if your in a city big enough trunk space if needed back seats plenty if leg room. Great overall car very nice and runs great.Nov 15, 2014

In this economy you must look at a car which can make your life easier not harder by saving you thousands at the pump. Also don't cost much to repair if something goes bad, overall this was my best car everFeb 21, 2014

The body of this car is much shorter than my last (a Pontiac) so it is easier to handle, especially getting in and out of narrow parking spots. I appreciate the great fuel economy and the champagne color paint since it does not show dust and dirt as much as other color options.Oct 18, 2013

This Honda Civic is comfortable and has a classic Honda look. The gas millage ranged between 32 and 38 miles city and highway miles and part if needed are easy to find and low in cost when compared to most other vehicles. While the care does lack acceleration due to its 1.7L engine the handling and overall drivability are excellentJul 23, 2013

Great little car. Economical and clean. The stereo is awesome and it has a security system
that keeps it safe, Triad system I believe. The color is green and I like that because it stands

Bought it with blown engine at 184,000 mi. Replaced with used engine & sold to daughter who loves it. Great fuel economy. Very loud tire noise disappeared with new tires (not much noise insulation in these less expensive models). My first Honda.May 17, 2013

Bought the car in 2001 as a loss leader. Survived Oregon, moved to Nevada, another move to Washington. Great fuel economy. Endured 7 accidents (crazy Oregon drivers).
Had regular maintenance. Only major maintenance was changing the exhaust manifold and just had an issue with the transmission. But it was after 190,000 hard miles.Dec 11, 2012

Love it! Acceleration great for a 4 cylinder. Have driven it through some major snow, better with good tires. Brakes fine for a car without abs brakes. corners great! surprising how much you can fit in the trunk, especially with back seats down. Oct 07, 2012

Reliable and great to have when your not carrying too many people around but since its a 2 door can't fit a baby into the back seat very easily, although it is possible! Definitely a great car to own especially with prices of gas going up.Jul 16, 2012

This isnt a car you would purchase if you are looking to get the "drivers" experience. It was made to be a reliable and comfortable car without all the bells and whistles.
I would recommend this for a new (smaller) family who needs transportation or for a new driver. It is easy to maintain and easy to handle. The car it self is top quality in terms of being a reliable source of transportation.
The gas mileage also helps during todays mega gas prices.
All in all, I have enjoyed the many years I have owned this vehicle. It got me through my first years of driving and has been a reliable partner throughout.Aug 07, 2011

I like that it is a small car and save a lot on gas, easy to keep clean since it has leather seats. On a sunny day open the sunroof and and enjoy the sun.
Not a good family car since it is a 2 door.
Great car to highschool or college student!

Its an awesome car that can take anything and almost everything, I have a blast driving it, and there are endless mods you can do to it. The car can handle a decent turn with the factory tires, has great get up and go to it. All in all i enjoy driving it!Sep 16, 2010

Braking:Not so good but its ok
Handling:Its the worst thing about this car,,very weak

This car has a responsive engine though it's only equipped
with 1.7L cylinder displacement. The fabulous driving
impression of Civic generations still can be found in this
car. and for that reason I really love to drive it by myself.
It also only cost me a few to maintain. It is a fuel efficient
car with gas consumption for about 10-11 kilometers per

Performance was okay, good torque and handling, though for an automatic transmission, uphill climbs was a drag.
The other thing that sucks is the color....frikkin' lousy coffin color
Fun-to-drive factor is 7 on a scale of 1-10
Maintenance was easy, parts are readily available. suspension was a bit on the harsh side too. Factory defects include a rack-and-pinion assembly that tends to create a jarring thud when descending on potholes or inclines.Aug 15, 2009

Looks good, runs well but is really really slow. Great gas mileage but you have to keep it above 3000 rpm for power. Cheap to own and fun to drive. It handles well and drives pretty smoothly. Large amount of aftermarket parts available.Jul 16, 2009

It is a great car. It averages about 34-35 MPG and is very reliable. It is my wifes daily driver. I wish it had a little more power, but it is good enough. I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a new car. Honda builds great cars.Dec 02, 2008

This car is great for it was meant to be, and that is a car to get around
efficiently. The only real flaws I've experienced are that the fabric on the roof
sagged down in the hot Florida heat after a few years and needed to be
replaced. Also, the bearings needed to be replaced pre-maturely.
It is fairly fun to drive and very peppy off the line, however, it lacks any real
power. This causes it to feel like it is struggling to get up some steeper hills and
have poor rolling acceleration after about 45 MPH.
The brake pedal may be too touchy for some people. You have to be careful
with it in the rain. Press a little too hard and you will lose traction if you are
rolling on cheap tires.
With age, this car also develops a lot of road noise which may be caused by the
bushings going bad. Be prepared to turn up the radio and yell to passengers
when cruising on the highway!
It also has quite a bit of body roll for such a small car but it isn't all that bad.Mar 26, 2008

He is a lovely car with an individual character everyone who has ever drove him has stalled him in the first five minutes (including my dad who is mister cars)!! But he is very comfy and once you get used to him really easy to drive and my dog likes the car so that says it all really!Dec 18, 2007
