I love my 1995 Mercedes C280. Everything about it is perfect. It runs like a dream. It is a sound car that makes me feel safe in the road. The reliability it provides is why I bought it. It is good on gas with options that are easy to understand and operate. It is loaded for a 1995 with leather, moonroof and even a 6 cassette changer. It offers a roomy ride for me and my occupants with a good sized trunk suitable for groceries or other shopping needs. The built in first aid kit in the backseat was ahead of it’s time. I love my 28 year old car and will hopefully be driving it another 28 years. Mar 01, 2023

i like the speed and cofort, plus stability on the road but i hate its huge expenses on parts , genuine parts for mercedes are not easy to get in this country and where u can get them they are expensiveNov 03, 2014

This was our first Mercedes, my wife said she was getting a Mercedes and am I really glad she did because I loved this car it had gobbs of power for the highway and the ride was fantastic. This car was built like a tank very solid feel and great build quality. If I had any complaints, it would only be some slightly than higher maintenance cost even with me doing my own. All in all great car I still catch myself looking at clean examples out on the road and think about getting another even with having a newer c class.Sep 06, 2012

This was my first car and I bought it when it was 10 years old with 190K miles. Being an inexperienced and still-learning driver I drove this hard and heavy, and even with the high miles it was the same the day I sold it as the day I bought it. I would absolutely buy another.Jul 17, 2012

Best car I've ever driven. Defiantly a lot more fun then my 190e its everything I hoped it be and it delivers in every single aspect that cars have. Very quick, tight turning, good breaking distance. It looks phenomenal for a 95 the interior and exterior looks better then most of my friends year 2000+ cars. Everything on it is basically original except upgraded shocks and springs. gas milage is pretty bad but for the performance of the car its expected. Overall best car ever and it defiantly makes me want to stick with the benz's forever.Nov 30, 2010

Acceleration: 0-60mph low 7 sec Build Quality: This car was built in the 90's when they used the real stuff instead of the plastic they use now. Appearence: Both interior and exterior are mint! This car is soo fun to drive, esecially when you want to give it a lil punch at about 3500rpm(that is where the power band is and above), it goes!Feb 13, 2010

Performance=not much. Really doesn't get going until you hit 2k RPM Build quality: flex joints (MB version of U-joints) go bad. Easy fix, and cheap. Heard of problems with front A-arms rusting from inside out, have not had this issue yet. Interior:nice, just kinda small. MPG=good, not great. Large tank, Premium fuel only (UGH), HWY mpg's in 22-25 range. Fun little car to drive, rides nice. Not bad to fix if you know where to find aftermarket parts and have simple tools and knowledge. Car runs perfect. Just needs a little hear and there but, all repairs are cheap as long as you don't use the Mercedes Dealer. 20-25 mpg and thats not bad for a straight six. I only wish it had heated seats but, would purchase it again and again.Dec 12, 2009

A year ago I purchased a 1995 C280 which I thought was in good condition at least by appearance. Within a year at cost me nearly the purchase price I spend over #3,000 on repairs. Oil leak $1,100, climate control $900, ventilation fan $1,100, spark plug wires $500, AC condenser $500. I'm sure it's not the end.Mar 26, 2009

When will Mercedes recall and compensate? MB knows the wiring loom on these vehicles is a potential disaster. When informed all they can do is quote the replacement price. Someone is going to be killed as a result of this.Jan 02, 2009

This car is 13 years old and still it has a great performance with no major mechanical troubles. Bought it with a very good price and it has not lost a lot in value. Good appearence, Steady drive, and extremely fun. Drifting in that car is Fantastic with a great handling. Its ASR gives it a good drift when it's off.Dec 19, 2008

It is a great comfortable and reliable car. The build quality is superb, like in any other Mercedes-Benz. The running costs are very lov, the haven't been any troubles with it, and it is economic to. I think the AMG front on my car, makes it look a bit sportier than normal :) It is a brilliant autobahn cruiser.Sep 11, 2008

I bought this car a few days ago and absolutely love it. I bought it because it was a good purchase for the type of car. Mercedes have very good history and drives forever if taken cared of. I bought the car from a car lot which was a trade in from someone else. It had 141,000 miles on it and I thought it was low for a 1995. Very nice body as well as paint job on the car. I recently purchased a used C280. I have found this car to be very reliable, with excellent pep despite it's age. I will advise other's to make sure to have your vehicle inspected by a certified mechanic that specializes in german vehicles prior to purchasing, because repairs are extremely expensive. The interor and exterior on my car was like new, but because the person I purchased it from failed to perform routine, age appropriate maintenance, my car required alot of servicing. Be sure to look underneath the car, as I learned the hard way that the C class is known to have a problem with the headgasket leaking. This repair will run you $2200-$3200 easy. But I loved the look and performance of the car so, much, i decided to invest in it. Apr 15, 2008

It is a classic Benz with all the frills. There's nothing like driving a Benz with all the bells and whistles. With the Swiss Army design flip key to the burl panel dash it has maintained a class of its own. The car's engine had that distinct low frequency buzz that only this car could generate. the car i used for the most part throughout high school. probably the best car to party in with your friends. with power windows and nice sounds, this car is perfect for riding with your buddies. it also saves gas (kind of) but not as much as my toyota paseo.Jan 03, 2008

Bought it though it was 12 yrs old because was a Mercedes and the miles were well within the normal use. I figured it had that many more mile left in it. It performs better than I thought it would. It glides on the freeways and hugs the turns. Quick off the line and jumps when you ask it too. Service and repair is a problem. Sep 08, 2007

It's an amazing car,I totally love it,and truly have respect for the time when Mercedes was still building cars,like it used to...Maybe not so much now,unless they go through some of the tuners afterwards.Over all,it's a car I wouldn't replace for a long time,unless the engine blows-up or something....Aug 08, 2007
