1992 Chevrolet Cavalier Reviews, Pricing & Specs

What owners say
"Overall, owners appreciate the 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier for its reliability, fuel efficiency, and fun driving experience. Many drivers loved its ability to handle tough weather conditions and praised its low maintenance costs. However, some were disappointed by its lack of power, styling, and advanced features, noting that it falls short in areas like speed and modern comforts."
Besides what I previously spoke of in the "cons" section, It does what it was designed to do, the way it was designed to do it, and it does it very well. Basic dependable transportation, in the truest(basic) form.
March 10, 2013my friend donna had one she let me drive it one day and I love it. went out and got my own. drove it to the ground, then my brother rebuilt it and he drove it until the body came off the frame
November 9, 2007I could literally beat the crap out of this car, and it would still run... not a problem after beating it. Definitely the best car I have every owned. Too bad it was poorly taken care of before I had it. I had to sell the poor thing because the body was in very poor shape.

October 25, 2008Definitely a great first car. Mine currently has over 180,000 miles on the odometer and is still going strong. This is an every day car that will get you from point A to point B and just about anywhere in between.
May 16, 2008I really did love this car despite it's ugly boxy shape, and given that one of the cylinders died on me, that wasn't real great. But this little FWD car got me through a lot of snow and ice and I only recall getting stuck in heavy snows once! Given where I am from, this is awesome! This car ran great for years and I only got rid of it to save money for a down payment on a new car.
February 6, 2013Great little car. 3.1 L V6 engine with 150 hp and lots of torque. The car had a glass rear window. At that time only one other convertible offer glass. Even a $60K Mercedes convertible had a cheap plastic piece in the convertible top. Transmissions 3 speed automatic was strong and simple. However I prefer the 5 speed manual. Interior had bucket seats. Trunk large enough for two golf bags. Drop the top a the traffic light and take off.
November 27, 2009This car is great!! 5 speed on the 3.1L V6. It goes when it wants to. Fully loaded! AC, PW, PL, Tilt, Tilt seats, cruise, power top, white ext white leather int, Lots of fun to drive. The MOST comfortable seats in any car for under 20k new lol. 300k for half a tank of fuel. Synthetic oil only, and oil coated 6 years running. If you have never driven a convertible do it just for the experience there is nothing like it yay!!
August 28, 2008Awesome high mileage car that took a beat for me. The biggest downfall I had with that car, is that people always rear-ended my car at stop signs and lights. For as broke as I was, the car was clutch, because it hardly broke down, and it was incredible on gas mileage. It was an awesome econo-car
August 7, 20084 cylinder stick shift got 40 sum odd miles per gallon. It was fun to drive cuz it was like a big go kart. Going through Rochester on our way to the motorbike races the brakes went out, that was pretty stupid. Drove it during my first two years of college.
January 4, 2008This car excel in only one thing, it have to be only a car that moves you from point a to point b. Of course, it has to have a good gas mileage, enough space and good reliability (being simple buid), this car has it. However, if you want speed, power, nice interior, nice lay out, a lot of space this car is not for you. If you want to impress the girls in the parking lot with this car, they gonna laugh of you.
