Overall the car is a pretty nice car the gas mileage Is amazing. Very easy to work on. The pop up head lights are a very nice touch to the vehicle. If you are looking for a car with good gas mileage, looks, this is the perfect car for you.Mar 25, 2015

accelerates good, brakes good, handles perfect with new suspension.
the back end rattles going over bumps, needed many repairs when I first bought it.
the interior styling is nice. the exterior is good as long as the paint looks good. the curvature of the body is nice.
gas mileage is pretty good. 21 city 26 highway
very fun to drive, 5spd only, automatics suck anyway. drove it to anderson, indiana and back four times in one weekend with zero problems

My first car bought 5yrs ago for $800, best
$800 ive ever spent. It has 222,000 miles on it
and is still reliable(would have been) it was
just smashed last week,But great on gas
mileage, maintenance minimal. acceleration was awesome when first got it but has diminished
over time due to age and millage, exhaust

Slow accelation with an automatic, but you can feel the HP come in around
3500rpm. Easily continues its acceleration well past the speed limit (because
who follows the speed limit?) and doesnt seem to slow down until past 100.
Sitting in the backseat is like sitting in the cockpit of a plane: its loud and you
cant hear anything from the front seat. Great at handling corners and fast
turns!And that's without a sway bar--if would be even better with it on.
Overall, the car looks great, except mine has some major rust on the rocker
panel but its still holding up well and isnt noticeable. But overall, this car is

Its got around 250 bhp, 0-60 in around 6 secs, top speed restricted to 186 kmph :(
Its costs a bit 2 run, 80 euro fills the tank, and that gets roughly 250 miles.

I love my Clelica but it lacks a little on the horsepower side. Good handeling car and overall fun to drive, and the metalic red paint job dont hurt any. If yall get a chance to get one for the right price I highly recomend itDec 19, 2009

Great with mileage, crap with speed. It's a car that will last
you a long time, though. 1.6 liter Four Banger isn't great with
a 0-60 in 10-11 seconds, but it looks nice, car is 18 years old

I love this car. I just had one problem with the battery dying not that big of a deal, but over all its a great car. The gas mileage is great and it doesn't brake down like other cars do.Oct 08, 2009

I purchased this 1991 gt in 2005 and havent had anything more serious than the timing belt. Which was replaced other than that car is very reliable sporty quick, and agile. Only thing i can complain about is rear passenger room. Gas mileage on this car is great! Lots of fun to drive not the fastest but very quick!Jun 21, 2009

This car started out as a 91 Celica GT-S 2.2L non-Turbo, but converted it to a GT4 AWD Turbo.
This is a great car to drive. Great on fuel and fun to drive.
I would recommend the GT or GT-S model as a great starter car.Apr 22, 2009

Its a fun drive, fast and reliable. at 182,000 miles Im needing a new clutch and thats it. the radio has poor reception but thats easily fixed. Its a peppy car with great handling. My only complaint is that the brakes lock up easily. Mar 03, 2009

A good solid car. Picked it up from a family memeber so the price was good. Toyota has had some failures with their paint on older cars, which is cleary shown on my car. The car is not completely lacking power. This car has lasted a long time with out needing much repair. It is a good looking now even with today's standards. Sep 10, 2008

Just look at the car. It's drive just as good. Only think i can find is that i want a little more power.
No cost what so ever. It runs and runs. Looks like new.

5spd makes 140hp seem way more. Cruising at 40 in 5th then dropping to 2nd to blow past late-model Monte Carlos and Grand Prix makes driving worth it. Blast to drive, even though the rust is creeping up and appearance is so-so. 170,000 miles? An American car would be toast, mine still gets my blood going. I bought this car on Christmas leave from the army. I drove it a lot, the handling is amazingly responsive and the interior was in good shape. When I get back home I will be putting a body kit on it.Apr 26, 2008

I got this car in Aug 2007 and i have put over 30,000 miles in it already and its only March 08. I only changed the tires, altenator, battery, new clutch and timing belt. Besides the reg oil changes i have done. other than that the cars has done me great traveling from VA to NJ and back. Its easy on gas 33mpg highway and 27mpg regular not bad for a 17years old car and everything else is stock... I been to about a total of about 8 junk yards and every car i have seen toyota celica 91-93 generation and the lowest mileage car i saw was 185000 and it still looked in great shape. These cars are really hard to find in junk yards as it is.. Speaking from experiance...lol Mar 18, 2008

It drives very good the braking an handeling are very good. Only it could have a bigger engine. But the plus side is that this one runs very cheap. 1 liter on 14 km wenn you drive normally.

The initial release of the ST185 All-Trac, or Celica GT4 as the non-US world knows it, offers good acceleration, exceptional levels of grip (even when compared to newer cars) and a comfortable interior. It's not suitable for drivers over 6'2" tall, and many Toyota dealerships are ill equipped to service it.Jan 02, 2008

i have a 1991 celica st coupe and its the bomb bought it in feb 2007 and its still going hard the motor was changed by the other owners and was said to have about 60000 on it then iv put about 5000 already on it and its going great my boyfriend owns a honda crx si 1991 model and he takes my car every chance he gets saying he loves it its got more power than his my celica is the bomb it will last forever as long as you keep up the oil changes and tune ups

I have a salvage title 1991 celica, and I am thinking it's a keeper. It has more luxury than I'm used to, needs no extras except a ultimatecupholder.com folding cupholder, but I like the way it feels, and with normal tires handles like a dream in Spokane winter driving! If I can get an oil leak under control, I'll paint it and keep it until I get another vw I can love. Wrecked a 92 Jetta, survived, but it didn't. Would I buy another 91 celica? You bet!Jan 22, 2007
