I bought the car from a neighbor for a steal. As far as performance goes,
the car was very quick in straight lines and through hills. Handling was
great regardless of the old shocks in the rear. It does need repairs. The
vehicle has a rusty gas tank that has not yet been addressed. I love the
styling of this over that of the Eclipse and Talon. I can't say anything on
the gas mileage as I only had it on the road for three days. It was a very

The top end seems sluggish it takes forever to pass a semi on a 2 lane highway.
I like the power button that seems to help a little. I love the handling it corners like a raped ape on fire.Apr 30, 2010

Build Quality: no just front diff issues.. you know what im sayin if you got one..
Car Comparisons: NONE....i wanted it soo bad..
Performance: way better then i thought. it handled and and performed alot better at speed then i thought.

What i like about this car is that it is turbo charged (garette tubro), that wil push 21psi. I only paid 3200 dollars, and was defantly worth it. This is a very fun car, and very fast, but dangerous, not. LOL.Nov 08, 2009

I picked up 1991 Plymouth Laser for $300, rebuilt the engine to stock, you name it i did it to this car!! i wish the quality of the car could be better, its a sporty fun car to drive, ther is no rust on this car very cool for a 1991, ther is a 1992 supra wing on it cant miss it,in all its a very fun car but i need paint job now!! Mine in particular has some room for improvement, but in general, the 1G DSM is a great car. The 2.0 Engine they came with is one of the most feared 4-cylinders out there on the track. The fact that most of these cars were purchased from the factory when they were new with 5-speed transissions makes it easy to find and fun to drive. One of the cheapest tuners out there, and also one with alot more potential than most.Oct 24, 2008

Owned this car between 2000 and 2002. Did a few mods to the motor including raising the boost to 18 PSi. raced it in NAVEX Rallies and AutoSlalom for 2 full seasons, did quite well.Feb 05, 2008

2 door, 5 speed, turbo... whats left to say.. how can you not have fun in such a car?
Had major reliability issues with the electronics, though I think its not usealy and issue.
Wrecked it going into a 35 Mph corner at 120... maybe i was going to fast... but! I hit a pole on the inside of the corner!... so maybe i was just going to slow? I can tell you what it realy was if you want to know.. just ask.Dec 27, 2007
