Yes worse engines ever made but drive nice , engine loses power over time replaced mine twice , I would own again if they had a better engine for it. Sep 03, 2023

I put this car through hell. I bought it off my friends sister with siezed motor (2.8), aparently she ran it out of oil. I then put 4 more 2.8's and one 3.1 through it. The stock tranny has lasted through it all. I was mainly testing these motors to see how tough they were. The 3 2.8's died from top end issues and can be fixed (cheaper to get and swap a motor though) the other 2.8 had an oiling issue and is siezed the 3.1 broke a connecting rod and tried to escape out of the engine block. This car was field bagged, rallied, jumped, held on the rev limiter, etc. These are tough little cars. Apr 19, 2013

this car is all around a sporty car. got nice take off stock. beats a mustang 5.0 easily. 1995 n older that is. n keeps up with the 96 to 2000. this car is fun to mess around in. nice wide tires to easily ebrake in. take turns fast. and burns out like a champ covering the whole car in smokeApr 05, 2011

this was my second car i ever bought i got it when i was eighteen back in 1998 loved it , the cavalier was a convertable and a v6 was very surprised to have a digital dash , 6 speed with comfortable seats, it was a good car my girlfriend at the time loved to put the top down and just cruze the streets had a bangin system in it and put a different muffler on it to make the 6 cylinder just roar.Aug 29, 2010

everything about this car sucked. it was a piece of garbage. im just glad i got rid of it when i did cuz by that point a lot of the stuff was unfixable. this car was not at all fun to drive.Jan 28, 2010

I have always loved the styling of these cars. The car had a motorswap done to it when I got it from a 2.8 to a 3.1 multiport. The car had the ultra cool digital guage cluster which was fun. This was my first car and definatley a learning experience. I didnt get to drive it much just because I bought it when I fresh turned 16 but when it was out it was a lot of fun.Dec 04, 2009

car is fast and cheap for the money you'd spend buying it as long as she's a standard anyways. 2.8 v6 wasnt bad on gas and it roasted the tires pre good, if you wanna stay outta trouble dont get this car that for sureOct 01, 2009

good beater car they take a lickin and keep on tickin, and the z24 handles pretty good for a shoe box too, just make sure you get the one with the 2.8 liter engine the 3.1 isn't very reliable, cheap to fix cheap to insure & decent on fuelAug 12, 2009

The Best of the Cavalier life span. The 1st gen was to ugly, and the 3rd gen
above were similar to bubbles. The classic 2.8L (later replaced with the 3.1L) was
quite possibly the best 6 cylinder engine chevy put out. Easy to work on and the

The best Cavalier around!! My Cavalier is the best around because I have done all the work to it myself with some help from my Dad. I have gone through two four cylinder engines and finally decided that it was time for the biggest stock engine that came in the Cavalier, yes that right i pulled out the crappy in-line four and auto transmission and dropped in the 3.1L V6 and the Muncie 5speed Transmission.... Now this car really hauls ass... I can get it to about 120km/h in 3rd gear... Sep 13, 2008

Greatest first car ever! Unless of course a random torando decides to tear through town...only targeting your block with high winds...incidentally knocking down a stupid ass ash tree...that the insurance company deems as city property and therefore not covered under your damage clause...and the same frickin fallen tree is deemd as get this "an act of God" and therefore not covered by the city's damage clause (i got fricked)Jul 21, 2008

The car that I'm currently driving is a hand me down of a hand me down. Used to belong to my Grandpa and now I'm just driving it until it literally falls apart. It looks and sounds like crap, but it gets me from A to B and is pretty good on gas mileage. I try not to drive it except to work and back. This was my first car. It was bought brand new and I shared it with my folks. I put 90% of the miles on the car. The car survived 11 years and 118K miles of wear and tear before trading it in. The car survived 3 accidents. The car didn't owe me a thing when I traded it in. I saw it 2 years later in a parking lot, so it still was trudging along.Apr 20, 2008
