Just bought this vehicle for an easy 800. love the look of the truck, its big heavy and full of power when you do buy this vehicle there are a few things you need to look at. first of all check the tailgate they 89 blazer is notorious for the rear window breaking down, its not really a big problem they are a dime a dozen but its somthing to look for. also check the rear shackles cause they do rot out alot on this truck not only that but even with a lift this is a pain in the ass job ( this may be more rare on southern trucks ) and also check the steering box have your buddy turn the wheel while you watch it i made the mistake of not checking this and had a scary hour and a half drive home. now overall i love this truck with the size and the power it has but im keeping it just for offroad since it is a big gas guzzler. if you find this truck for a good price i deffinately reccomend getting it.

It Had 16 lights on it. strobes, winch, custom snorkel, custom bull bar, camo, Air horn with compressor, Full Spare. It was loud no cat or muffler straight from header to tail end. This thing was a blast to own and i regret selling it so muchNov 28, 2011

this thing is big and bad ass, nowhere you can't go with this thing once you lock the
hubs. 12-14 per gallon which is all you expect from a 89 V8, it handles like a champ
on all road types, and it's a chevy which means there is actual steel in it so I'll drive
through half the foreign cars on the roadAug 05, 2010

My full size Blazer is my first truck im 18 and make 9 dollars an our and can pay for all the gas this truck requires.
my truck is in very good condition and runs excelent, ive only had to replace afew things with the engine and all have been quick and painless. everything has held up Very nice.
Ofcourse the thing sqeaks and rattles its a chevy not a Bently! But for being 20 years old idk what anyone would expect. it looks great in my opinion i love the styling and the removable top is nearly one of a kind.
It actually has decent acceleration for a big lifted truck although it does have an awful lot of play in the sterring whee.
Over all it is a ton of fun to have, i love my truck never want to get rid of it .

it's good! solid! good performance... very big engine. incredible sound... great handling but no braking at all.. nice acceleration. and the great thing about the car, it doesn't nedd any mechanic. interior is good. exterior not bad. gas mileage is very poor. and it is fun to drive. have one!Aug 28, 2008

I love everything about Betsy. I will never get rid of her. The only thing that I dont like is the ROT! The truck to me is priceless! No truck will ever take her place! Its so fun to drive and so much better to take Off-Roading!!! Its under construction as of right now but it will be done eventually!Aug 25, 2008

My, truck has power, and is lifted with big mud tires. It is sturdy and perfect for riding around town and then hitting the mudd hole. It dosen't get the best gas mileage but it is better than my friends uncle's truck. It's really loud so that way you hear me befor you see me.

Yeah, I paid like 1500.00 for mine and I'd say it's worth it... No major problems like electrical or mechanical, the only thing that has given me problems is the throttle body which was nothing to replace used.Mar 21, 2008

I Drove one and my parents have it ,a 1989 chevy blazer s10 tahoe(the good one) has had some problems over the years but still remains to be the car you depend on when you need it. this one has the 4.3 liter v6 and has stayed pretty clean doesnt rust like some 80's cars do. I would recomend this car to someone who is into trucks and has time and money to keep it going. but otherwise has nice interior but not for someone who likes luxury. mine at least has a sun roof and we put in a cd player but still not that great of sound system which is stock. some dash parts have fallen apart like the air conditioning cover and the glove box door came off and the light stayed and drained the battery. but those little things are bound to happen with a older.Mar 19, 2008

This is a 1989 ext. cab Chevy body on a 1988 blazer frame. It has a 350, 4 speed, np205 combo with 3/4 ton axles. Drives pretty bad on the road, but should do great in the mud WITH 38.5 INCH GUMBOS.Feb 12, 2008

This is one of the best vehicles back in the day. My dad had one and he use to take us every were in it. We would get in it just to go to the neighbors house. Me and my brother went mudding in my dads car like this. We got it stuck cause we was only 15 at that time. He got out of the car and tried to push it. THat was the stupidest thing hes ever done.Feb 15, 2007
