The 86 911 just keeps appreciating, and based upon the cost to buy a new 911, it's no wonder why. What I like about this car is how simple it is. It's a visceral car, with manual steering and sublime brakes and go cart like handling. It's smaller and lighter than today's 911's not nearly as fast, and yet, I find myself driving it more than my other 911. That's just how good it is.Sep 06, 2013

I purchased this 911 after a 3 year search from Bromos with they had a dealership in Atlanta, Georgia. As a bonus I received a drivers school at Roebling Road and was fortunate to have Hurley Haywood as my instructor! I learned so much from him that weekend. It was an opportunity of a lifetime and helped to make me the driver I am today.May 23, 2013

Love most everything about this car. It cost less than most current model even cheap new cars. Looks great, runs perfect, soooo smooth.If you ever get the chance drive one do it and i think you'll be hooked like me.Oct 23, 2012

No finer sports car out there for reliability, looks, and resale value. Air cooled Porsche's and 911s in particular are the most recognizable vehicle on the road and pure fun to drive. Ferdinand Porsche got it right with this car!Feb 22, 2012

The Design is perfect.The bulid quality is very good.The car needs in the middle 12,5 Liter Super Plus.The difficult handling is the right fun, to drive such a car(in the Winter with good Winter Tires too).The only Bad thing is the Targa roof,it`s not complete tight in Rainshowers.Nov 27, 2009

We bought this car from a guy who had never exposed it to snow (salt), did not use it as his primary car, had very few miles, and was desperate. When things go bad, they're not cheap. But keeping on top of maintenance just like with any car, helps. Driving it is an awesome experience. Would love to get another one. Like a 1966.Sep 06, 2008

This was always my dream car, finally bought this used in 1997, and absolutely love it. Nice tall gears, strong turbo boost, lots of charm and built as solid as a rock. German engineering at it's best, no namby-pamby 4 wheel drive or traction control, this car requires a DRIVER that knows how to drive a car. Not for the feint hearted, brakes are excellent; roll your socks down when you step on the brakes. Comfortable for 2 plus two kids. USA model had essentially no headlights, so european headlights are a very worthwhile upgrade. Other than that, stock is best. Perhaps slightly beefier boost spring. Large Fun Factor. One of the sexiest looking cars out there. Another big benefit is that you don't need a stereo. Engine sounds magnificent.Sep 04, 2008

All the power and cornering ability I can handle. I've had straight-line cars that would run circles around it (not many, but a few), but I've never driven anything that could keep up with this in the turns.Feb 03, 2008
