Performance - Lots of horsepower for the hills but had trouble sticking hard turns. She was very responsive and handled with easy. I even dropped a valve and she kept right on going.
Appearance - My best looking car. Nothing wrong inside or out. A few dents since I was still in high school.

I was going to make this into a ridiculous beast. It had a 4-cylinder turbo and a 5 speed... I had rebuilt a 302 and had it bored out to a 306 had the heads re-done new cam and a machined crank-shaft.. but went to college so I ran out of time and money. Traded it for the Firebird :DJul 30, 2009

I got my first 1984 Thunderbird (Turbo Coupe) and stripped it out and made a stock car out of her. It is my rookie year and I am having a blast out there. It is the nicest looking race car at the track.
I wanted a parts car in case I slammed into the wall so I found one in a tiny town sitting in a field. I paid the man who owned it (it was his mother's car) $100.00 It has a blown head gasket which I hear is quite common on these cars.
What a steal I got on this car. It is in immaculent condition, not a ripple or wrinkle on this car (inside or out). I told my husband that I do not want to use this car as a parts car. I am now going to restore it to its original grandueur this winter. I am going to put a 4 cylinder so I can putt around and get great gas mileage.

the tunderbird is special. first of all the bucket seat make you feel like a king, the stearing wheel is supper easy to operate with one hand, and the power is just right. it was and old fila model with everything power and moon roof and i just loved it Jun 13, 2009

this car was fast. but no grip in snow. had her doin 140 on the 401 in canada on the way back from the falls while mom sister and brother were all out in the car..then we came up on an accident which was gruesome.Feb 10, 2009

Not too bad a car. got it free from neighbor because he couldn't start it. bought a battery cable and battery and the car runs fine but seems underpowered with v-6. hope to see the kids use it for a few years before it dies. I think it looks cool--it has nice wheels and is fairly comfortable.Jul 19, 2008

Never really liked this car. It was more of an impulse buy, just wanted a car so bad after my first, I did not care what it was. It came with mag wheels, and I did drive it for over two years, being as old as it was, it held up well. It had a lot of rear end body damage, other than that, the body was in good condition. The inside was not. The mags and the 12" Kenwoods in the trunk were worth more than the $400 I sold it for. May 28, 2008

When I bought my Thunderbird (VIN 1FABP4636EH208850) In October, I had planned on keeping it for a long time. It was a gorgeous vehicle. The 5.0L HO with a 5 speed manual transmission made it a rare bird indeed. It was fast, and tons of fun. One of the few cars I regret selling. I'd buy her back if I could find her. Unfortunatley the need and want for a 4x4 was too great. I actually owned it side by side with a 1990 Jeep Cherokee, and when it snowed, I would drive this over the Jeep. It was that much fun in the winter!Jan 25, 2008

This car was fantanstic. Aside from figuring out how to set the idle on a throttle body ignition, she can go from 55 to 80 faster than anything i've owned. She still had her original 5.0 and tranny in her, as well as smokers windows and an old school factory sun roof (no retraction, just removal). Dec 24, 2007
