Its a great fun car, great performance and braking because of great upgrades. Custom repaint and some comfort upgrades to the interior. Being a performance v8 it does get pretty good gas mileage for what it is. overall this is a gret fun carMay 31, 2013

This was my first car, so I will always have a special place in my heart for it. As she can see she needed some work, but when I got it I only paid $700.00 for it from a neighbor and mechanically she never gave me any problems, I just wish I still had her and was able to do all the cosmetic stuff. If I still had her she would be sexy by now!Feb 05, 2012

I wish I could give my 82 camaro a real review but it isn't running at the moment due to me currently doing an engine swap on it. I'm putting a 350 under the hood and after a few years or if the auto tranny it goes out I'll put a 4 speed in it.Oct 24, 2011

I was excited to own a Camaro, but was quickly disappointed. It had a rough ride and was noisy for a new car - a little like driving a truck. I love the classic Camaro's and the newest models are beautiful, but the in-between years are a let-down.May 20, 2011

I have had this car for just over a year and a half. And I do have
to say that I love it. When I bought this car is was from an old
lady in Bowling Green KY. Since then I have had to but in a new
transmission, and a new engine...twice!! And all of this
happened right before I actually started to drive it! But thats not
the point. I love this car. It has always been good to me. Nov 09, 2010

It is so much fun to drive.I have always loved this body style Camaro. The 2 tone, the graphic's. Many people say they didn't even know they made replica pace car's.Mine isnt stock under the hood, sound's healthy. My dad had one of these and he wish he had it back.Nov 04, 2010

Fast enough and had almost european handling smaller than the 2nd gen camaros and more civilized, well built with stylish looks, great MPG if treated nicely upto 28 mpg, cheap to insure and service, great fun with t-tops out.

This car was a monster.Fast as heck and handling wasnt bad.Didnt need a single thing when i owned it not even rust on it.Appearance was ok with the interior needing some work and the car needing a paint job but.Very expensive on insurance inless you get collector car insurance and you can just watch your gas guage needle drop driving around the city. All in all this car was awesome and i would buy another one any day.Aug 05, 2010

My car is great! For some of the cars that are out today the gas
milage is fair. It was built to last, all except for the engine. I am
currently getting the Engine rebuilt. It had a knocking, turns out
its just a regular engine, they get tired after awhile. This is a fun
car to drive, very comfortable, and very efficient. I will probably
never get rid of this car. May 06, 2010

Like all Camaro and Firebird drivers from the 80's nitch, they were'nt the best of the best unless you dumped butt-loads of cash into them. Dont get me wrong, I loved my '82 but the 6 in it was shot, it started of fire once and i couldnt lock the doors unless I crawled through the hatch. God I miss that car.Oct 30, 2009

Very fun to drive, handles like a champion, enough power to throw you back a bit. Very sleek looking, comfy, ass-kicking machine. Gas mileage kinda sucks tho (17ish) but its more about smiles per gallon than miles per gallon. Get oneAug 10, 2009

good excelleration, decent braking, handles good, rides a little rough. built with alot of plastic, t-tops leak. exterior styling couldn't have been better, except t bars tend to rust. gas milage is about 14-18 mpg depending on how you drive it, easy to maintain, car is really fun to driveJul 13, 2009

This car is smooth on the road, quiet and a dream to drive. The sound system is perfect, and the AC blows ice cold all day long. It sips gas, and the creature comforts make you feel like I haven't left my house.Apr 22, 2009

Its a 1982 berlinetta had a 383 stroker in it. The motor needed taken out and rebuilt cause when it was built it was not built the right way. It was goin to have a 305 put down in it if i had kept it. The body on it was straight as can be it needed a paint job there where spots that paint was coming off of it and paint was fading in spots. Other than a few problems with it it was a pretty good car and it was definatly fun to squeal the tries in cause it could job...Mar 13, 2009

I love this car. Wouldn't suggest owning it but I love it. A lil beaten up and the engine is shot. Currently I am rebuilding a larger motor and pretty much gutting this car. Eventually this will be the car I would recommend.Dec 28, 2008

Got the car very cheaply from the original owner with 60k on the clock. Have removed all the Dents and scrapes and repainted in the same colour with a bit more pearl, added Z28 wheels, exhaust, Road racing suspension set up, and had a little play with the motor [350]. It does go okay and handles very well but is very stiff due to the suspension. Sits 1 1/2" lower in the front then the photo.
Does very good skids and with the LSD is fun to abuse.Sep 21, 2008

the car needsd some work but the car is built really tought and has excellent proformance rolling down hill. The colour of the car is a dark blue, witrh a dark blue interior. The car is fun to work on but can be a little frustrating at time because of the floor panels being rusted out.Sep 06, 2008

By the time I got to this car, the paint was already getting quite dull... but for a 28 year old car, it was in great shape! It cost me $500 in 1999, and was definitely one of the funnest cars I have ever owned. Gas mileage was awful, but considering the price of gas was $1 still, it wasn't a consideration.Jul 20, 2008

This car had went under a full restoration and was complete about 3 years ago. Engine was rebuilt and bored 0.30 over. The gas mileage was pretty good considering it's a V8 car. It was a fun car to drive. I would recommend a friend to give a car like this a try and see what they think. Sadly this car is out of commission due to a electrical fire under the hood. This car might get repaired and be back on the road again.Jul 02, 2008

I got it out of a barn, literally. It is in surprisingly good shape for the abuse it received. Best of all it is a true Indy 500 Pace CarApr 13, 2008

i bought this car from a guy that worked in a body shop. it had shaved door handles and a super deep black paint job. it also had a whale tail from a 3rd gen trans am. it had stupid amounts of power (ran high 11s). i quickly learned the weakness of the early 3rd gen frame. with a high powered motor uleashing all it's horses it twisted the frame enough to crack the withshield in half. so after everthing was straightened out a set of subframe connectors was added. i sold this one along with an 84 z28 to my old roommate who is continuing it's amaising build. it's in the proccess of getting a complete custom interior.Mar 27, 2008

This was my second car I ever owned. I was only 18 and foolish, but I still miss this car. It drove like a race car and turned corners like it was on rails. It was simply a blast to drive. But like most Chevrolet's I've owned, it broke down frequently. If I wasn't in love with it as much as I was I wouldn't have kept it for so long (4 years).Dec 17, 2007
