These cars are seriously underated. You can drop a 400hp motor into these without too much drama, they were designed for this.Oct 16, 2023

This car is still running strong... had it since I was 18 now I am 24 years old .I don't have the money to restore it and don't have much knowledge about how to take care of it... I search what I can on how to maintain it . Any suggestions on how to keep it in shape while I graduate from college(2 years ).. rust is eating my car : ( Sep 30, 2013

Has plenty of power. If you are looking to save money on gas don't look into
buying this car. It is easy to work on when needed.
This car is a thrill to drive. Can't wait to put more money into it. Jan 03, 2011

I have had this car since i was 16. About 5 years ago i decided to paint it. It had almost no bondo in it i replaced the 1/4's because they were rusting out behind the wheels. It used to be a redish color and it now is 2005 dodge prowler orange. The motor is out of my brothers 1971 nova with an upgraded cam and heads, with headers and the classic purple hornies for exhaust.Nov 09, 2010

I LOVE this car!!!!! Everything about it!!! It's so easy to handle and it has power to spare. Considering it's a '76 I'd have to say its in pretty good shape. It has a straight body and no rust. It just needs alittle TLC and she'll be a Beauty!Jun 12, 2010

I just love how it looks. It's the nasty killer-looking car. It's perfect for 1/4 mile races because it's tank-like-torque! This car never make u disappointed because broken electronics-it just hasn't it! Rust? Well try to get californian babe to avod welding. Engine impossible to destroy - classic V8 5,6l with no electronics. High fuel consumption, but who cares... Important is it's Pure and Allmighty! Performance? Goes up to 180km/h. I think enough when u can't go here fast. Additionally it gives u pleasure of waiting for green with it's incredible burnouts!Nov 05, 2009

Still have mine (obviously, I have never been able to part with her) and though she likes slower speeds (or maybe thats me) she is still as responsive as when she was new and when I put the pedal to the floor she can still fly!Oct 12, 2009

I have recently aquired a 1976 camaro. This will be a project for my two boy's and myself. It is in reasonbly good condition. The body is straight, a major plus. I do have to replace most of the interior due to previous owner's lack of skill at making a "racecar" out of it, i.e removing all light switches and replacing them with toggles. We will be putting it back in original condition with the exception of a beefed up 400ci small block. Mar 26, 2009

350 chev small block like a rock, acceleration lost once to an Apollo,my sister. No rattles, replaced trans once my fault.Had it painted burgundy and did the whole interrior in burgundy fur with monkey nuts hanging from the mirror. What i was 17 hehe.I was broke just because i lived in it,driving everyone everywhere including to Regina.I don't ever remember having a problem, just the regular maintenance.I loved that car,did everything in it and went everywhere in it.It was a real looker.OOO yaaaaSep 15, 2008

by far the fastest car i ever owned. it would pin you against your seat. it was a chevy orange with a 305 v-8. we had modified it with a 6 speed from a 1993 chevy camaro. i bought it with a 4.88 chevy 10 bolt rear end. in the end it was a freakin fast car that could handle awesome for being the boat of its day. the interior wasnt much to look at but wasnt important when leaving mustangs in the dust!!! The engine had a Elderbrock performer RPM Intake manifold and Carbuerator. Apr 19, 2008

always wanted a camaro growing up not a 67 - 69 but my dream was 78-80. then when i saw the 1982 model I REALLY wanted a 1981 because it was the last year for a good body style. so I found this 1976 on its way to the crusher, just couldnt let it go so it followed me home. what do i do now...........Mar 15, 2008

This is actually a 1976 Cosworth Vega, but Vega was not listed on here. Basically it's the smaller twin brother of the Camaro. It is all original except the motor, which was redone with performance in mind, and also original appearence on mind also. I just did a little clean up on the outside (hince compare the 2 photos of the engine), but the block is the original 1976 block. This car came from the factory with a 4-cyl, EFI, 16-valve, DOHC setup. This made it very effiecent when the gas pedal is romped on!!!Jan 09, 2008

I was lucky enough to have had 2 1976 Camaros. The first was all stock all I had to do to it was put a new head liner in it, and paint it.And yes I sold it:( The second was a project car for me.I ordered a short block 350Ci creat engine for it and added new intake.carb, headers, paint, wheels and tires, and many many other things.Needless to say when we(my brother and I)finished the car it was a flat out road burner.I would get at least 3 to 4 offers a month for the car. I would drive it a couple of times a week. And to shows,or just to show off.I finally got an offer for cash that I accepted. I made money on the car,But to this day(10 years later)I regret selling it.That is the biggest mistake I have ever made, involving a car.If you own a Camaro any Camaro think very hard before selling it. Or you may have to live with the regret that I still live with even today. If I ever find that car I will buy it back I don't care what I have to pay for it. :)
