I'll admit; the reason I wanted one of these was for the looks alone. The low flat roof and
high bodyline yet still sitting seemingly half a car lower than todays wierdo-mobiles.
But I didn't realise I was getting much more.
There are some key things to look out for on these cars.
Rust: get it fixed as soon as it starts to appear, it will eat your classic and hard to find
panels.
Steering box: if there is ANY play, rebuild it asap.
Window mechanisms: most of the moving parts and bushes for this will be worn or
perished, so get some new ones.
But just like any car - look after it and it will bring you much joy.Mar 25, 2008

I recently obtained the car from my father after we spent many hours cleaning the entire engine, engine bay and rewiring the enitire wire harness!! Every car I have ever owned has been a toyota celica, 1979 gt and a 1982 gt. I'm only 21 so I haven't really gone through too many cars but I already know I love celica's and especially my 75 st! I am open to offers if anyone ever wanted to buy it but just to warn you it's not an easy steal I know that it's a rare and hard find!Nov 14, 2007
