How can you go wrong with a muscle mach 1? People would ask if this thing was for sale on a weekly basis. Motors built to about 430hp. And it just sounds like a beast, the whole car rumbles at idle. Easy to work on too.Oct 26, 2011

I bought this the summer before my senior year in high school. Loved it. But the guys called it a "chick car." It was a gas hog too, but I was making more money by then (an extra 85 cents an hour!).May 20, 2011

This is my baby, the quality is amazing. The car is very decked out with performance upgrades, the appearance looks like its original but with a twist, the car has so mush power its cazy fun. All in all I will never get rid of this treasure. Oct 31, 2010

Fairly rare as many are more attracted to the 60's model. Feels stronger with more medal in the exterior...
I was originally looking for the earlier model but after going to many car shows and seeing no mustangs in this year I was more attracted to it. I like the feeling of space in the car and being able to have someone in the backseat if needed.Jun 20, 2010

This was a great car, finally got a car with a V8 but was only a car for two. After about 2 years it started to rust around the rear tail lights. I got it all fixed up and got a beautiful paint job and then I started having trouble with the engine so I traded it in on a used station wagon.Apr 01, 2010

good performance 351 c 4v it's old but you might not think so ,and it has great lines in the body it's not great on gas but performance in the 70's gas wasn't a issue. while driving this old beast you get plenty of thumbs up.Feb 17, 2010

this is a great car, fun to drive, i like it a lot, but it little bit difficult to drive this car in my country, because in my place most of the street is very small, not big like in us, n also its overcrowded with many car n bike. so i use it only at night. lastly i'll give 5 stars for this car, its looooks sooo gooooodFeb 05, 2010

Build Quality - normal, could have been a bit better.
Appearance - both interior and exterior styling EXCELLENT!
Cost of Ownership - gas mileage, maintenance. Hard on gas!

This is a work in progress for me that I have spent the last couple of years building. It started out as a clunker but became reliable once I put some time and money into it. In the near future I will be completing and new custom built motor for this car that will give the car an impressive 700+ hp. This car was a blast to drive before and got decent gas mileage for the type of car it was and now after painting it and a new motor, it will be even better.Oct 26, 2009

It may be a heavy 70's car, but the 351 Cleveland engine with the four barrel carburetor & a manual transmission has plenty of power. I love the looks of the long doors and the star gazer back window. In the process of taking it apart and restoring it.Jun 23, 2009

engine completely redone. now the performance is great, needs a posi rear, and the stearing is amazing. body is 37 years old so it is going down the drain. need to leaf springs in the back and bushings all over. over 100000 miles on it, so the body needs about 3 grand of body work and stuff. we'll seeJun 22, 2009

i love old Mustangs! For a 36 year old unrestored car it is amazing! The last 36 year old Japanese car I saw came in a box with 23 just like it with Labatt's written on the side of it......My Mustang is everything that was right and wrong with American cars of the seventies - No, it is not the best build quality, and yes, it was designed by an industry that wanted us to buy a new one every year, but it has the one thing every Japanese car I have ever seen is missing - soul. At 75 mph on the highway with the top down - it makes me wonder why so many of you decided to toss away that unique American experience, and trade it for a toaster with wheels.....tsk,tsk, shame on you. And I have an '09 Mustang GT, which has a build quality equalling, and probably exceeding those Japanese toasters - and its fun to drive, great on gas, and has soul. I am truly sorry so many of you just don't get it - you dont know what you're missing!Oct 23, 2008

Its pushing around 300 horsepower out of a 351C with a 3-speed auto trans. I tore a motor mount on the drivers side and i am going to replace both of them when i lift the engine to drop my new Tremec 5 speed transmission into it. i am also gonna redo the rear end to give the car a higher top end. i need to replace the upper and lower A-arms on both sides and also need to fuel inject it, most likely with a Holley system. the paint looks nice from ten feet away but when you get close its chipping and has some bubbles on the roof. it cost me $4500 from a guy in Orange County and it was well worth it. its a very fun car to drive and i wouldnt trade it for anything.Sep 25, 2008

Bought it in average condition and have slowly restored it, this car has given me many headaches but it is my first car and love the damn thing. Reliability was an issue but I have fixed all the problems now and the car is fantastic. The noise is amazing and it is very lively and fun, but it is huge and gets pretty bad gas mileage but i don't really care because i love the car Sep 07, 2008

I loved it. Too bad I didn't know about working on a car at the time. If I had known, I would have kept it. Unfortunately, my dad wasn't into helping me learn at the time. It was after I sold it that I finally learned how to fix a car.Sep 02, 2008
