1971 Chevrolet Impala Reviews, Pricing & Specs

I love this car, built back when American cars, where tough. The small block 350 provides plenty of displacement to the point of being able to accelerate up most steep grade, and on flat land you cant help but turn it loose. The gas mileage, as expected, isn't the greatest but i can still go an average of two weeks between fill ups. Cost of maintenance is minimal as long as you can do the repairs yourself parts can be gotten reasonably priced(and as long as you aren't looking for body parts) Ive had this car for about a year now and ive only had to do only the remotest of repairs, less than i was expecting with a 39 year old car. I must say it doesn't have the looks of the 60's Impalas but it is one fun car to drive and the looks i get from people is well worth it.Jul 02, 2010

Easiest car I ever owned to do my own maintenance. Plenty of space in the engine to get to the parts I needed. Never had any major mechanical problems. Engine relatively uncomplicated. Body is solidly built. Owned mine for 15 years until it was totaled out in a high speed wreck by a drunk. I emerged unscathed and injury free. Any other car I would have probably been killed.Oct 28, 2008
