Just riding around, everybody and their Mother wants to race. Racers from the xyz era agree they all have fast cars these days, but the fast cars we're built from the "Muscle Car" era, in my opinion. This one is at the end of that era. It runs a 10.03 all day long and it can do better if I change the diamond-tip points every 2-3 runs. Never got a "thumbs down" from even a Chevy lover! I once came out of the hole at 7200 rpm's and when the wheels hit the ground, my radiator cracked and shot anti-freeze all over my windshield! Pretty hard to stop when you can't see. I bought this car while I was in the Army. It was my first car and looking back I couldn't have chosen a finer car. Now owned by a very smart guy who wouldn't sell this back for any amount, jerk. I only regret that I don't still own this beauty as it is so extremely valuable today. This car would cost you today in even just reasonable shape from $50k and way up from there depending on a lot of factors. In mint condition, all matching numbers this car can be in the $250k range at Barrett Jackson Auto Auctions AZ. everything is matching.Jan 28, 2013

Performance- very good- strong pull in 1st gear to 4800 rpm, shifts into 2nd at 55 mph, and covers the 1/4 mile in15 sec. This is a bone stock cast iron Windsor, with high flow intake and headers / H pipe for exhaust. Build quality- built in Feb 1970 in Methuen NJ, it is typical of "Detroit quality" for the era... mediocre at best, but anvil tough design and materials. Appearance- good straight rust-free condition, but needs fresh paint and some door dings removed. Interior immaculate, eat off the "show-car custom" engine. Exterior styiling? This was the last Ford car designed by Larry Shinoda, who penned the immortal 1963 Corvette split window coupe.' Nuff said. Cost of ownership- dirt cheap for the fun factor, plus the car has increased in value by 15% since bought in 2008. Fun factor- booming exhaust note and bags of low end torque make it priceless; my 1st car in high school was a 1970 coupe purchased in 1972 for under $2500. i bought this car over the summer for $1000. im restoring the car back to street use from its current drag set up. the car was $3200 with the motor,or $1200 with out. the car had perfect light blue interior but i found rust lurking under the carpet. i stripped the car to bare metal and im replacing the floors. it needs new just about everything but body parts. i replaced the drag hood with a new repo hood,brake lines,master cylinder,upgraded to a power brake booster,new pads,rotors,bearings,races,dust boots,front valence panel,etc. ive since then put t he front end back together and got the car ready for floors,and got the brakes almost done. no motor,but has a c6 automatic tranny. its got front dis and rear drums. ford 9 inch with 388 gears. 5 lug. the electrical is shot and needs a new harness,paint,slight body work to be pefrect,etc. the interior is perfect but now needs carpet because i ripped it out. the car was white/blue 302,2v,c6,dearborn car...it has 88xxx miles,but im not sure if its original. the car has the ac and power sterring,power brakes,but the ac parts were "86'd" along time ago for extra power. the pics are out of order but the ones with black front end are current.Nov 28, 2009

totally amazing rust free special edtion boss 302 coupe (not fastback).repainted in accopulco blue and now runs a windsor 351,fmx gear box,elenor 18"rims.it was imported in to australia earlly 2008 i brought it july 2008 for $19000.the interior is all black (boss trim).due to aussie laws the wing mirror has been replaced with two matching standard mustang mirrors as the second matching boss type was to hard to find at the time.Aug 13, 2009

The Mustang is a fantastic car. Always screaming for personal originality, the mustang is an open (beautiful) canvas waiting for the individual to paint a masterpiece. I am a lucky owner. The small block 302 is ready for high revving action. The stock 2V is always ready for upgrading. She handles pretty good, but keep in mind, it is a 39 year old car. Braking is standard for drum brakes. It's a Mustang...I'd say it looks pretty good. Gas mileage.....lol. Actually, it isn't to bad (I'm thinking around 15 mpg). Heck of a car to drive! Jan 16, 2009

Heh, what's to like? It's got no engine, transmission. Crushed roof, crushed grille, rust in a few spots, crushed hood, broken windshield, crushed l/f fender (by the way, a tree fell on it), damaged front suspension, some yellow jackets have set up nest in it, and the seats are on pieces in the interior, which has seen better days. The price? just right. $85 is what I paid the tow truck driver to drag it to my (poor) parents house. Gimme a few years and I'll keep this space updatedAug 24, 2008
