What Mercedes-Benz E-Class do most buyers choose?

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class years with the most listings are 2019, 2018, and 2020.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, colour, and equipment mix. They also often sit in the sweet spot between newer features and more accessible pricing.

What is the Mercedes-Benz E-Class's resale value?

Most model years in the table are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want to benefit from softer pricing. A few years are holding firmer or moving up, so the market is not moving in one direction across the board. The biggest drops are concentrated in several newer and mid-cycle years, while one of the older years is nearly flat.

The 2018 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2015, 2019, and 2018 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Mercedes-Benz E-Class now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −3.05% versus a year ago, and the 2023 model is at −5.04%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2019 model has the most listings at a current average price of $43,903 CAD. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class offers a roomy, upscale cabin with a refined, prestige-heavy character that has long defined the nameplate.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The heart of this PHEV is a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six engine paired with a 120-kilowatt electric motor and 21.2-kilowatt-hour battery.
• Tech: As expected, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with an augmented reality navigation system, music streaming, and a sensational Burmester 4D surround-sound system with Dolby Atmos technology.
• Safety: In Canada, premium driver assist features are also standard including adaptive cruise control, active blind spot monitoring, active intersection assist, active emergency stop assist, active lane change assist, active lane keep assist, active steering assist, automatic lane change capability, evasive steering assist, and congestion emergency braking.
