Is the Lincoln Nautilus a good car?
Yes — the Lincoln Nautilus is a strong choice if you want a quiet, comfortable luxury SUV with a distinctive cabin and a generous feature set. The all-generations owner rating is 4.82/5 across every model year in the data.
Owners consistently praise the Nautilus for its luxurious feel, comfort, quiet cabin, stylish design, advanced technology, and spacious interior. Across the model years, the recurring trade-offs centre on performance in some versions, the price point, and a few usability quirks such as an unintuitive gear selector.
Expert reviews rate the 2024 and 2026 models among the highest across all years.
The main compromises are the modest power in some powertrains, the distracting amount of screen space in newer versions, and the softer handling that keeps the Nautilus focused on comfort rather than sharp responses.
32.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
Are Lincoln Nautilus models reliable?
Owners consistently praise the Lincoln Nautilus for its quiet cabin, comfortable ride, luxurious feel, and strong everyday usability. Expert feedback also points to a polished, comfort-first character with a well-equipped cabin and a generally refined driving experience.
- Owners rate the Lincoln Nautilus between 3.0 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.
For used buyers, long-term ownership risk looks most manageable when you choose a well-kept example with a clear service history and the equipment level that best matches how you plan to use it.
What should I look for when buying a used Lincoln Nautilus?
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Lincoln BlueCruise, plus a surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane centring steering, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, high beam assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and intersection assist, and automatic emergency braking.
- Infotainment: standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot, a digital key, satellite radio, remote start, and a wireless smartphone charger.
- Fuel efficiency: The hybrid Nautilus is rated by Natural Resources Canada at 8.2 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 7.5 on the highway, and 7.9 combined.
Which Lincoln Nautilus trim should I buy?
The 2026 Lincoln Nautilus offers these trims:
- Premiere: The entry trim brings black or grey synthetic leather upholstery and the model’s core comfort-and-technology focus, making it the value-oriented choice.
- Reserve: This trim adds leather upholstery, a chocolate brown colour option, adaptive dampers, upgraded Revel audio, a panoramic roof, and 21-inch wheels, making it the best-value pick for buyers who want the most complete version.
What Lincoln Nautilus do most buyers choose?
The Lincoln Nautilus years with the most listings are 2025, 2023, and 2024.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2025 | 188 | 36.7% |
| 2023 | 178 | 36% |
| 2024 | 174 | 37.9% |
| 2022 | 132 | 27.3% |
| 2026 | 130 | 30% |
| 2021 | 102 | 28.4% |
Those higher-volume years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer a broader mix of pricing, equipment, and availability. When supply is stronger, you also get more chances to compare listings and find a better match for your budget and feature priorities.
What is the Lincoln Nautilus's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2020 | $24,809 CAD | −21.09% |
| 2019 | $23,719 CAD | −18.12% |
| 2025 | $59,748 CAD | −17.03% |
| 2022 | $33,688 CAD | −15.05% |
| 2024 | $53,142 CAD | −13.8% |
| 2021 | $31,823 CAD | −12.7% |
| 2023 | $39,752 CAD | −12.14% |
The table shows broad downward movement across the lineup, which can work in your favour if you are shopping used. The newer model years are also posting double-digit declines, so recent examples may offer stronger value than their original pricing suggests.
The 2023, 2021, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Lincoln Nautilus safe?
- 2026: 9/10
- 2024: 9/10
- 2022: 8/10
Lincoln loads the 2026 Nautilus with standard safety features, including a surround-view camera system, adaptive cruise control, lane centring steering, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, high beam assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and intersection assist, and automatic emergency braking. Lincoln BlueCruise is also standard and included for four years.
For the safest used buy, the 2024 and 2026 models both post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.
Should I buy a used Lincoln Nautilus now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −17.03% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −13.8%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 36.7% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 37.9%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $59,748 CAD. The Lincoln Nautilus offers a quiet, comfortable cabin with a distinctly upscale feel and a strong feature set.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The standard turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine makes 250 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque, while the hybrid boosts output to 310 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.
- Tech: The 11.1-inch lower touchscreen works with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the cabin also includes a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot and a wireless smartphone charger.
- Safety: Lincoln BlueCruise is standard and included for four years, alongside a surround-view camera system and adaptive cruise control.
- Starting price: The Premiere starts at $63,445 CAD.
If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

Test drove the gas engine (w/ 8-spd AT) and the hybrid (w/ CVT). Found the hybrid to have much more low end torque and drove much smoother than its counterpart. Loads of luxury features even at the “base” level. Not sure how often we’ll use the aromatherapy, but love the customization options for the dashboard display. Clearly focused on comfort > sportiness; it’s a Lincoln after all. It’s going to be my wife’s primary vehicle (mine is a Mazda MX-5), but will meet my needs of not being a dog to drive.

I own this Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid vehicle 2024. I am somewhat disappointed in the China built vehicle. Quality is not what I felt should be nothing less than superb. Had serious brake rotor problems which squealed like a fat pig. My opinion is this , it is no longer an American company and should no longer be considered as one. It is China born that is a fact. The interior is still very nice, while the seating is comfortable… Robert DiBerardino, owner - West Herr Lincoln

Lincoln Nautilus test drive
overall

The 2026 Lincoln Nautilus reinvents interior technology while leaning into luxury.
Most premium automakers pursue power and sportiness. Luxury is Lincoln's only consideration, and the 2026 Nautilus is a perfect example. It offers dashing good looks, smooth power delivery, and a new take on interior technology — but most of all it’s about opulence.
Verdict: The 2026 Lincoln Nautilus is for the buyer for whom comfort, luxury, and technology are more important than outright power and sporty handling. Its take on technology splashes the interior with screens, which some will find overwhelming. But the Nautilus is also roomy, and its hybrid powertrain is the clear choice in the lineup, even though it doesn’t achieve top-notch fuel economy.
