What should I look for when buying a used Honda Civic Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid is expected to save 2 litres per 100 kilometres on average in combined driving versus the outgoing turbo powertrain, and the hybrid models are estimated by Honda to achieve 4.8 and 5.0 L/100 km respectively in combined driving.
• Infotainment: The top Sport Touring Hybrid trim comes with a digital instrument panel, a larger nine-inch touchscreen, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, wireless smartphone integration, and a wireless charging pad.

Which Honda Civic Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid offers these trims:

• Sport Hybrid: The entry hybrid trim starts at $36,562 and gives you the 2.0-litre hybrid powertrain with 200 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque, making it the best-value choice for shoppers who want the hybrid system without moving up the price ladder.

What Honda Civic Hybrid do most buyers choose?

The Honda Civic Hybrid years with the most listings are 2026, 2025, and 2027.

Higher-volume model years usually give you more choice in trims, colours, and prices, which makes it easier to compare listings and find the right fit. They also tend to be the easiest years to shop because there are more examples on the market at once.

What is the Honda Civic Hybrid's resale value?

Prices are moving lower for both model years shown, which is good news if you are shopping used. The larger drop on one year suggests stronger downward pressure there, while the other year has softened by a smaller amount. That gives you a better chance to find a recent Civic Hybrid at a more attractive price than a year ago.

The 2026 and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Honda Civic Hybrid safe?

• 2025: 7/10

For the safest used buy, the 2025 model posts the highest confirmed score of 7/10.
