What should I look for when buying a used Dodge Charger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Active Driving Assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with vulnerable road user detection, active lane management, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, traffic sign recognition, and drowsy driver detection.
• Infotainment: Uconnect 5 with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and built-in navigation on Plus models.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada’s fuel economy estimates land at 14.1 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 9.0 on the highway, and 11.8 combined for the 2026 Dodge Charger R/T. In the Scat Pack, expect to burn 14.5 L/100 km city, 10.0 highway, and 12.5 combined.

Which Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2026 Dodge Charger offers these trims:

• Charger R/T: The entry gas model starts at 420 hp and gives you the Charger’s core performance character with standard all-wheel drive.
• Charger Scat Pack: The 550-hp version adds the strongest gas-engine output in the lineup, standard Brembo brakes, Line Lock, and a rear-wheel-drive mode for buyers who want the most dramatic performance.

What Dodge Charger do most buyers choose?

The Dodge Charger years with the most listings are 2022, 2023, and 2021.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare, which makes it easier to find the right colour, trim, and condition. They also tend to sit in the part of the lineup where the Charger’s modern performance and everyday usability are especially appealing.

What is the Dodge Charger's resale value?

Most Charger model years in the table are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used. The biggest drops are concentrated in older and mid-cycle examples, while a few years have changed only slightly and one newer year has moved up.

The 2023, 2016, and 2019 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
