The Chevrolet Colorado's current nationwide average price is $37,386 CAD, and its lowest point over the past year was $34,924 CAD. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Chevrolet Colorado a good car?

Yes — the Chevrolet Colorado is a strong used pickup choice if you want a truck that blends capability, comfort, and versatility. The all-generations owner rating is 4.2/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, towing ability, and spacious cabin, and many also like how well it works for both family use and job-site duty. Across the lineup, the Colorado also earns credit for its capable engines and practical, easy-to-live-with character.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is shaped most by the specific model year and trim you choose, so a careful inspection and service-history review matter.

What should I look for when buying a used Chevrolet Colorado?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: All 2026 Chevrolet Colorado trims come with a turbocharged 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine (Chevy calls it the TurboMax) and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The engine generates 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, returns as little as 11.1 litres per 100 kilometres in combined city and highway driving (RWD models), and boasts a towing capacity of up to 3,500 kilograms (7,700 pounds, or 2,720 kilograms (6,000 pounds) for the Colorado ZR2).

Which Chevrolet Colorado trim should I buy?

The 2026 Chevrolet Colorado offers these trims:

• WT: The work-truck foundation gives you the Colorado’s core utility, and it’s the best-value starting point if you want a straightforward truck with room to build up from there.
• Trail Boss: This trim adds an off-road-tuned suspension with a five-centimetre factory lift, a wider stance, all-terrain tires, Off-Road and Terrain driving modes, and hill descent control for buyers who want trail-ready hardware.
• LT: The mid-grade LT serves as the basis for the Z71 and is the trim to look at if you want a more balanced starting point before moving into more specialised equipment.
• Z71: This trim builds on the LT with added off-road capability, making it a strong choice if you want a more adventurous setup without going all the way to the top.
• ZR2: At the top of the lineup, the ZR2 adds even more features and extra off-roading hardware, including 33-inch mud-terrain tires and Multimatic DSSV dampers.

What Chevrolet Colorado do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Colorado years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular because they give you the broadest mix of availability, pricing, and deal opportunities. They also sit close to the newest redesign, which makes them especially appealing to shoppers who want modern features without paying for the latest model year.

What is the Chevrolet Colorado's resale value?

Most Colorado model years are down year over year, and several recent ones show double-digit declines. That pattern can work in your favour as a used buyer because it opens up more room to find value in newer trucks. A few years have moved down more gently, which suggests some versions are settling into the market more gradually than others.

The 2015 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2015, 2020, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
