What Toyota Highlander Hybrid do most buyers choose?

The Toyota Highlander Hybrid years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

What is the Toyota Highlander Hybrid's resale value?

Most model years in the table are down year over year, and several recent ones show double-digit declines. That creates more room for used buyers to find value, especially in newer model years where prices have eased from a year ago. The 2019 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2019, 2015, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Toyota Highlander Hybrid now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −8.11% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −4.9%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 20.9% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 20%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $62,462 CAD. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid offers a quiet, comfortable, and practical family-focused cabin that suits everyday use.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The Highlander Hybrid pairs a 2.5-litre Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine with two electric motor-generators, plus a third to power the rear wheels on demand to create standard AWD, and Toyota says it is good for 243 combined horsepower.
• Tech: New Toyota Audio Multimedia infotainment systems bring an 8.0-inch touchscreen in lower trims or a 12.3-inch display in the Limited, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Safety: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, and a road sign assist system.
• Starting price: The base Hybrid LE starts at just over $50,000 CAD.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
