Used Mitsubishi Outlander prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Mitsubishi Outlander’s current nationwide average price is $27,973 CAD, and its nationwide low point over the past year was $26,307 CAD. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

Yes — the Mitsubishi Outlander is a solid choice if you value a spacious interior, a comfortable ride, and useful tech features.

The all-generations owner rating is 4.52/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners repeatedly praise the Outlander for its roomy cabin, comfortable ride, and good fuel efficiency, along with the practical value it offers for the money. The strongest recurring trade-offs are modest acceleration, especially in four-cylinder models, and a third row that works best for smaller passengers.

Expert reviews rate the 2022 and 2025 models among the highest across all years.

The main compromises are the Outlander’s sluggish performance, the polarizing exterior design on newer versions, and the tight third row that limits how useful the seven-seat layout feels for larger families.

27.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Mitsubishi Outlander models reliable?

Owners consistently describe the Outlander as comfortable, practical, and easy to live with, and expert reviews reinforce its quiet cabin and useful everyday character. Across the model years in the data, it also earns praise for value, fuel efficiency, and a smooth driving experience.

• Owners rate the Mitsubishi Outlander between 3.67 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is shaped more by the specific model year, mileage, and maintenance history than by the nameplate alone.

What should I look for when buying a used Mitsubishi Outlander?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Mitsubishi’s driver-assistance suite includes blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, rear emergency braking, and lane departure warning; adaptive cruise control starts at the LE grade, while lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability start at the GT grade.
• Infotainment: Every 2025 Outlander gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Which Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander offers these trims:

• ES: The entry trim starts the lineup with standard S-AWC all-wheel drive and the 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• SE: This trim adds more equipment as you move up the range while keeping the Outlander’s core comfort and technology focus.
• LE: This is the first trim with adaptive cruise control, making it a strong value pick if you want more driver-assistance tech.
• SEL: This trim adds more premium features and sits in the middle of the lineup for shoppers who want a richer feel.
• GT: This trim brings lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability.

What Mitsubishi Outlander do most buyers choose?

The Mitsubishi Outlander years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

These higher-volume model years tend to be the most popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which makes it easier to find the right trim, price, and condition. They also usually reflect the most current version of the Outlander’s design, features, and packaging.

What is the Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used because it creates more room for value. The largest drops are concentrated in older and recent-model years alike, while a few newer examples are falling more slowly than the rest.

The 2024, 2016, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

• 2025: 7/10
