The Mitsubishi Outlander’s current nationwide average price is $27,942 CAD, and its lowest point over the past year was $26,310 CAD. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Mitsubishi Outlander a good car?

Yes — the Mitsubishi Outlander is a solid pick if you value a spacious cabin, a comfortable ride, and useful tech. The all-generations owner rating is 4.5/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners repeatedly praise the Outlander for its comfortable ride, quiet cabin, and practical interior space. The available third row and the model’s useful technology also come up often as strengths, especially for shoppers who want family-friendly versatility.

Expert reviews rate the 2022 and 2025 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs are the Outlander’s sluggish performance, the polarizing exterior design on newer versions, and the cramped third row that works best for occasional use. Even so, the Outlander’s mix of comfort, value, and equipment makes it appealing if those compromises fit your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used Mitsubishi Outlander?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Mitsubishi’s Super All-wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system is standard across all trims, and the 2025 model’s driver-assistance suite includes blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, rear emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control on LE and above, and lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability on GT and above.
• Infotainment: Every 2025 Outlander gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a physical volume knob and a button for the camera system.

Which Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander offers these trims:

• ES: The entry trim starts the lineup with standard S-AWC all-wheel drive and the 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, making it the value-focused starting point.
• SE: This trim builds on the ES with more equipment while keeping the same core comfort and tech foundation, so it suits shoppers who want a step up without moving too far up the price ladder.
• LE: This is the best-value trim if you want the strongest balance of equipment and everyday usability, and it adds adaptive cruise control.
• SEL: This trim adds more comfort and convenience features for shoppers who want a more upscale feel.
• GT: This trim adds lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability.
• GT Premium: This top trim adds quilted leather seats, plenty of soft-touch surfaces, a 12-speaker, 1,650-watt Yamaha sound system, a rear camera mirror, and a head-up display.

What Mitsubishi Outlander do most buyers choose?

The Mitsubishi Outlander years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, colour, and price. They also usually reflect the most current version of the model, which many shoppers prefer for newer tech and features.

What is the Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

Most model years in the table are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used because it can create more attractive pricing. The largest drops are double-digit declines, so the recent market has been especially favourable for buyers. A few newer years are falling less sharply than older ones, but the overall pattern still points to softer prices across the lineup.

The 2024, 2016, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

• 2025: 7/10
• 2022: 8/10

For 2025, Mitsubishi’s driver-assistance suite includes blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning and automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, rear emergency braking, and lane departure warning, with adaptive cruise control on LE and above and lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability on GT and above.
