What is the Mazda CX-3's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2017 | $13,396 CAD | −14.57% |
| 2020 | $18,757 CAD | −12.6% |

Awesome compact AWD car. Extremely reliable and feels more like a luxury car than an affordable gas saver. Compared to Subaru or Honda, the Mazda feels like you’re sitting in a Mercedes than a Japanese car. Very affordable as well. Much cheaper than a Toyota, better reliability, and much better options. Mazda has definitely made its way into a higher tier of auto manufacturers.

CarGurus recommends the 2020 Mazda CX-3

Summary
With 129 currently listed for sale and an average price of $18,807 CAD, 28.7% of 2020 Mazda CX-3 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2020 Mazda CX-3 5 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2020 Mazda CX-3 stands out as a small crossover that leans into Mazda’s familiar mix of style and driving enjoyment. It arrived in Canada for the 2020 model year, and Mazda positioned it as a subcompact SUV with a premium feel rather than a purely practical runabout. At launch, it offered 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry, and an 8.8-inch infotainment screen with Mazda Connect, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. That combination gives the CX-3 a well-equipped feel for its size, especially for buyers who want a compact vehicle that still feels polished inside.
The 2020 model year also offered a choice of two engines and both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive on the lower trims, which helped broaden its appeal. The GX trim used the 2.0-litre engine, while the GS trim moved up to the 2.5-litre engine and added features such as dual-zone automatic climate control, rear air vents, and a rear armrest with built-in cupholders. The GT trim added a Bose 12-speaker audio system, a head-up display, leather seats, a power liftgate, paddle shifters, and LED Signature illumination headlights and taillights, though it was available with all-wheel drive only. Fuel economy ranged from 8.1 L/100 km combined with the smaller engine and front-wheel drive to 8.9 L/100 km combined with the larger engine and all-wheel drive, so efficiency was respectable for the class.
There are trade-offs, though. The CX-3 is described as having a cramped back seat and not much cargo space, so it is better suited to buyers who value compact dimensions and a premium driving feel over maximum practicality. Even so, its strong safety reputation, available driver-assist features, and sporty character make the 2020 Mazda CX-3 appealing if you want a small crossover that feels more upscale and engaging than many of its rivals.
