What should I look for when buying a used Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: forward collision avoidance with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, safe exit assist, and rear occupant alert.
• Infotainment: a 10.25-inch touchscreen with onboard navigation, Bluetooth, OTA map updates, dynamic voice recognition, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

Which Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid trim should I buy?

The 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid offers these trims:

• Luxury: This is the hybrid-only trim in Canada for 2023, and it brings the Santa Fe Hybrid's practical, value-focused setup with standard advanced safety features, plenty of cargo space, and the well-equipped cabin that makes the model appealing for everyday use. It suits you best if you want the only hybrid trim offered that year and want the strongest mix of equipment and usefulness.

What Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid do most buyers choose?

The Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid years with the most listings are 2025, 2026, and 2027.

Higher-volume model years usually give you more choice in colour, mileage, trim, and price, which makes it easier to compare listings and find the right fit. They also tend to be the years shoppers focus on first when they want the newest features and the broadest selection.

What is the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid's resale value?

The price changes show a clear downward pattern, with each model year posting a double-digit decline except the newest one in the table. That creates a favourable setup for used buyers, since the market is already reflecting meaningful value loss across the lineup. The newest model year in the table has the smallest drop, while older years have fallen more sharply.

The 2024, 2023, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid safe?

• 2023: 8/10

For the safest used buy, the 2023 model posts the highest confirmed score of 8/10.

Should I buy a used Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2024 model is at −8.15% versus a year ago, and the 2023 model is at −11.75%.
• Deal availability: The 2024 model has 24.1% good and great deals, and the 2023 model has 26.6%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings. The Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid offers a roomy, practical cabin that makes it easy to live with every day.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The latest model pairs a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a 44.2-kW electric motor, 226 horsepower, and 7.1 L/100 km in city driving.
• Tech: The latest model includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen with onboard navigation and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
• Safety: The latest model adds a broad suite of driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, safe exit assist, and rear occupant alert.
