Summary
With 89 currently listed for sale and an average price of $12,744 CAD, 28.1% of 2018 Ford Fusion listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2018 Ford Fusion 5 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2018 Ford Fusion stands out as a midsize sedan that blends sharp styling, strong road manners, and a wide range of powertrain choices. Ford gave the Fusion a significant update in 2017, and by this generation it offered available all-wheel drive and the Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid. It also had plenty of room, with a back seat that provides 973 millimetres of legroom and a 450-litre trunk, making it practical as well as attractive.
For buyers, the Fusion’s appeal is partly in its breadth of choice. The lineup included a 175-horsepower 2.5-litre Duratec, a turbocharged 1.5-litre EcoBoost with 181 hp, a 240-hp 2.0-litre EcoBoost Turbo, and a 325-horsepower EcoBoost V6 in the Sport. Ford also added SYNC 3 in 2017, bringing Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the best-equipped versions for this model year were the 2019 and 2020 models, which had some advanced safety features standard. That said, the Fusion was not the most luxurious car for the money, and the non-hybrid models lag rivals in fuel economy.
