Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: BMW’s standard safety suite includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, active blind-spot monitoring, and lane departure warning.
• Infotainment: BMW Curved Display with a 10.25-inch digital instrumentation panel, a 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by BMW Operating System 9 (iDrive 9), wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and a SiriusXM 360L Platinum Plan to satellite radio.
• Fuel efficiency: On our evaluation loop, the X2 xDrive28i M Sport averaged 11.2 litres per 100 kilometres, considerably higher than the official Natural Resources Canada fuel consumption estimate of 8.5 L/100 km in combined driving. (The M35i is estimated to burn 8.9 L/100 km in combined driving.)

Which BMW X2 trim should I buy?

The 2024 BMW X2 offers these trims:

• xDrive28i: The entry model brings BMW xDrive all-wheel drive, the 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder, and the BMW Curved Display with iDrive 9; it suits you if you want the core X2 experience at the lower price point.
• M35i: This performance-focused trim adds 312 hp, M Sport Brakes, Sport steering, and an M-tuned adaptive suspension, making it the better choice if you want the strongest driving character in the range.

What BMW X2 do most buyers choose?

The BMW X2 years with the most listings are 2025, 2026, and 2024.

Higher-volume years usually give you more choice in trims, colours, and pricing, which makes it easier to compare similar vehicles side by side. They also tend to be the easiest years to shop if you want a broader selection of listings.

What is the BMW X2's resale value?

Most of the listed model years have moved down year over year, which can create better opportunities for used buyers. The largest drops are concentrated in the newer and mid-cycle years, while a few years have changed by smaller amounts. That mix suggests you can find meaningful value across several model years if you compare listings carefully.

The 2022, 2024, and 2018 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
