What should I look for when buying a used Audi Q7?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: The 2025 Q7 includes blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, cruise control, adaptive cruise control on upper trims, and self-parking for parallel and perpendicular spaces.
• Infotainment: The 2025 Q7 uses Audi’s Multi Media Interface (MMI) infotainment system on a 10.1-inch centre screen with a smaller screen below for HVAC controls, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates the Q7 with the 55 TFSI power plant at 13.0 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 10.0 on the highway, and 11.7 combined; the smaller engine returns 12.0 L/100 km city, 9.2 highway, and 10.7 combined.

Which Audi Q7 trim should I buy?

The 2025 Audi Q7 offers these trims:

• Q7: The base trim gives you the choice of two engines, and it’s the best-value starting point if you want to add the more potent powertrain.
• Progressiv: This trim adds the 3.0-litre turbo V6 as standard, making it the better fit if you want stronger performance without moving to the top trim.
• Technik: This is the most fully equipped version, with the V6 standard and the most premium presentation for buyers who want the highest-spec Q7.

What Audi Q7 do most buyers choose?

The Audi Q7 years with the most listings are 2018, 2022, and 2017.

Higher-listing model years tend to draw more shopper attention because they offer more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, colour, and price. They also often become popular used picks because buyers can balance availability with a wider spread of deal quality.

What is the Audi Q7's resale value?

Most model years are down year over year, which is good news if you’re shopping used because it creates more room for value. The newer model years are still seeing double-digit declines, while the oldest examples are changing more slowly and one early year has edged up slightly.

The 2014, 2015, and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Audi Q7 safe?

• 2025: 6/10
• 2020: 8/10

The 2025 Q7 includes advanced driver-assistance systems such as blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control on upper trims, and self-parking.

For the safest used buy, the 2020 model posts the highest confirmed score of 8/10.
