New & Used 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid for Sale nearThunder Bay, ON

Is the 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid a good car?

The 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid earns a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

It takes a different route to luxury-crossover performance, using hybrid technology to deliver strong power while improving fuel economy. That makes it a good fit if you want a comfortable, tech-rich interior and balanced capability rather than outright excitement.

The trade-offs are that it is not as powerful or quick as most rivals, and despite the F Sport badge, there is not much real sport to be had. It also rides more firmly than you might expect from a Lexus luxury SUV.

With 34.3% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid reliable?

The 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid is presented as a polished, well-equipped luxury SUV with a reputation for reliability in the RX nameplate, and its hybrid system is described as working well together. The powertrain’s hand-off from electric to gas propulsion is seamless, and the vehicle comes across as mechanically well sorted.

It also includes a useful three-year Drive Connect subscription with Google points of interest and real-time traffic information, which adds everyday convenience. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the fuel-economy advantage may be harder to realise if you drive it more aggressively.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RX 500h F Sport Performance adds 21-inch wheels, a sportier appearance, and a more aggressive cabin treatment, but the base setup already includes a strong equipment list. You should pay close attention to whether the truck has the features you want, since the sportier trim’s firmer tuning is a major part of the package.
• Powertrain: The RX 500h uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for a combined 366 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. It pairs that setup with a conventional automatic transmission and AWD, and the system is tuned for decent power with good but not great fuel economy.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and intersection assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, and emergency steering assist. Standard equipment also includes front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice control through Lexus Intelligent Assist, wireless phone charging, and a standard head-up display. The steering wheel’s touch-sensitive controls are worth testing carefully.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 8.7 L/100 km in city driving, 8.4 L/100 km on the highway, and 8.6 L/100 km combined. In real-world use, it can be harder to match those figures.
