How much does the 2026 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have softened 3.23% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 231 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you decide.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns a 7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

It fits well if you want a compact luxury crossover with a wide range of powertrains and standard advanced safety features. The hybrid models are a particular strength, and the NX’s pricing helps it undercut many rivals.

The trade-offs are clear: the design may be polarising, the ride quality is poor, and cargo space is not especially generous compared with rivals. Even so, it can make sense if you value efficiency and choice in a premium SUV.

Good and great deals account for 31.6% of listings, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus NX is presented as a reassuring choice if you want the Lexus badge and the brand’s reputation for dependability. It also benefits from a broad powertrain lineup, which gives you flexibility to choose the version that best fits your priorities.

The expert assessment points to strong value in hybrid form, and the NX’s standard safety equipment adds to its everyday appeal. The performance notes also suggest the powertrains are varied, with the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions looking more compelling than the standard turbocharged model.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the NX’s appeal depends heavily on choosing the right version, since the non-hybrid model’s refinement and ride quality are less convincing.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus NX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The NX lineup includes base, Luxury, F Sport 2, Ultra Luxury, Executive and F Sport 3 packages across the main powertrain options, while the plug-in hybrid uses Ultra Premium instead of base or Luxury. The F Sport packages add adaptive dampers, black 20-inch wheels, a different front fascia, black roof rails, and black window framing. The base NX 350 is the least expensive path into the model, but the Executive package adds leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a power-adjustable steering column.
• Powertrain: The NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD. The NX 350h hybrid uses a naturally aspirated 2.5-litre four-cylinder with the hybrid system for 240 hp, while the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid produces 304 hp and more continuous electric power.
• Safety package: Standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and traffic sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also tied to the electronic door handles. Available features include park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and a 360-degree camera system.
• Infotainment: A 9.8-inch touchscreen is standard on the base NX, while a 14-inch display is standard with any package. All 2026 NX models include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, six USB ports, and wireless device charging with any package. A head-up display and 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system are reserved for higher-priced packages.
• Fuel efficiency: The non-hybrid NX 350 is rated at 9.8 L/100 km combined, while the NX 350h is rated at 6.0 L/100 km combined. The NX 450h+ is rated at 6.6 L/100 km combined in hybrid mode and has an NRCan-rated 60-kilometre all-electric range.

Which 2026 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus NX is offered in 6 trim levels: base, Luxury, F Sport 2, Ultra Luxury, Executive and F Sport 3.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but it is also the most stripped-back version in the lineup. If you want the lowest starting price and can live without the richer equipment found higher up, this is the one to consider.
• Luxury: This is the first step up if you want a more upscale feel without jumping all the way to the top packages. It makes sense if you want a better-balanced ownership experience than the base model.
• F Sport 2: This is the better choice if you want the sportier look and chassis tuning that come with the F Sport treatment. It adds the adaptive dampers and visual upgrades that define the package.
• Ultra Luxury: This is for you if comfort and a more premium presentation matter more than keeping the price down. It sits near the top of the range and is aimed at shoppers who want the richest-feeling NX.
• Executive: This is the best-value trim if you want the NX to feel more like a luxury vehicle. The leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and power-adjustable steering column make it a strong step up.
• F Sport 3: Choose this only if you specifically want the most aggressive F Sport presentation and are comfortable paying for it. It brings the full F Sport treatment, but the ride quality trade-off is worth keeping in mind.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, so you do not need to move up a trim just to get the core driver-assistance suite.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Lexus NX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 231 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.23% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $60,449 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $60,921 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,956 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the NX is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, you should expect the market to reward well-kept examples, especially hybrid models, but not necessarily deliver a strong premium just because the vehicle wears a Lexus badge.

The current trend also means your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice. A well-equipped hybrid should be easier to position than a less desirable configuration, but the broader market is still showing some price pressure.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX safe?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns a 2025 Top Safety Pick from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, but it missed the higher Top Safety Pick+ award because of an Acceptable score in the updated moderate overlap front crash test.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and traffic sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also built into the electronic door handles.

You can also get park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist, and a 360-degree camera system. The NX’s outward visibility is compromised enough that the camera system is especially useful, and the warnings can be quite loud when parking.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.23% compared with last year.
• The 2026 update appeals to you because Lexus made the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions more affordable while keeping the NX’s core strengths intact.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version with the current pricing trend and the strongest value in hybrid form, the 2026 NX is the one to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth comparing, but the 2026’s softer pricing and improved hybrid positioning make it the cleaner buy for most shoppers.
