How much does the 2026 Lexus NX cost?

Prices have softened 4.43% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 235 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX a good car?

The 2026 Lexus NX earns an 7/10 from our experts.

The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

It fits well if you want a compact luxury crossover with efficiency and choice in a premium package. The hybrid versions are a particular strength, and standard advanced safety features add to its everyday appeal. The trade-offs are clear: the design may be polarising, the ride quality is poor, and cargo space trails rivals.

With 24.3% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX reliable?

The 2026 Lexus NX is presented as a value-conscious luxury crossover with a strong reputation for dependability, and Lexus also backs it with a four-year/80,000-kilometre basic warranty and six-year/110,000-kilometre powertrain warranty.

Its hybrid models add to the appeal because they combine efficiency with the reassurance of Lexus engineering, and the NX 350h and NX 450h+ also include an eight-year/160,000-kilometre warranty for hybrid-system components. The expert review also points to the NX’s strong value in hybrid form and its broad powertrain range as part of its long-term appeal.

For used buyers, the main ownership risk is that the NX’s premium pricing and mixed ride quality may make it feel less rewarding over time if you are expecting a more traditional luxury experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus NX?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans base, Luxury, F Sport 2, Ultra Luxury, Executive and F Sport 3 packages, with the NX 450h+ not offered in base or Luxury configuration. The base NX 350 does not quite deliver the luxury feel some buyers expect, while the Executive package adds leather upholstery and the higher-priced packages bring more upscale equipment.
• Powertrain: You can choose among non-hybrid, hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions. The NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder with 275 horsepower and standard AWD, while the NX 350h hybrid and NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid are the more compelling efficiency plays.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and traffic sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also tied to the electronic door handles.
• Infotainment: Base models get a 9.8-inch touchscreen, while a 14-inch display is standard with any package. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and six USB ports.
• Fuel efficiency: The non-hybrid NX 350 is rated at 9.8 L/100 km combined, while the NX 350h is rated at 6.0 L/100 km combined and the NX 450h+ is rated at 6.6 L/100 km combined in hybrid mode.

Which 2026 Lexus NX trim should I buy?

The 2026 Lexus NX is offered in 6 trim levels: base, Luxury, F Sport 2, Ultra Luxury, Executive and F Sport 3.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but it is also the trim most likely to leave you wanting more luxury polish. It makes sense if you want the NX’s core design, safety and powertrain choice at the lowest price.
• Luxury: This is the better starting point if you want a more premium feel without jumping too far up the price ladder. It should suit you if you want a more complete luxury experience than the base model provides.
• F Sport 2: Choose this if you want the sportier appearance and chassis tuning cues, including adaptive dampers and black 20-inch wheels. It is the right fit if style matters more to you than ride comfort.
• Ultra Luxury: This trim is aimed at buyers who want a more upscale, fully equipped NX. It is the step to consider if you want the richer equipment mix without focusing on sport styling.
• Executive: This is the best-value trim if you want the NX to feel more like a true luxury vehicle, because it adds leather upholstery and pairs well with the model’s efficiency strengths.
• F Sport 3: This is the most aggressive-looking version, with the same F Sport hardware and the most assertive presentation. It suits you if you want the sportiest appearance and do not mind the firmer ride.

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite is included, and the NX also offers additional driver-assist features such as park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist and a 360-degree camera system on higher trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2026 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 24.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 235 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.43% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $59,797 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2026 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $59,801 CAD sits slightly below last year's $62,571 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the NX is currently more buyer-friendly than it was a year ago. If you plan to sell later, you should expect the market to reward well-equipped hybrid models more than the less efficient gas version. The NX’s strong value proposition may help it hold interest, but its resale performance will still depend on trim, condition and how well it stacks up against more practical or more luxurious rivals.

Is the 2026 Lexus NX safe?

The 2026 Lexus NX was named a 2025 Top Safety Pick by the IIHS, though it missed the higher Top Safety Pick+ award because of an Acceptable score in the updated moderate overlap front crash test.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard, and it includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection and braking, Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and traffic sign recognition. Safe Exit Assist is also built into the electronic door handles.

Higher trims can add park assist, front cross-traffic alert, lane-change assist and a 360-degree camera system. The NX’s outward visibility is compromised, so the camera system is especially useful.

Should I buy a 2026 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 24.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.43% compared with last year.
• The 2026 update appeals to you because Lexus made the hybrid and plug-in hybrid models more affordable while keeping the NX’s strong efficiency and safety focus.

The bottom line: If you want the NX’s current mix of value, efficiency and standard safety, the 2026 is the one to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but the 2026’s softer pricing and improved hybrid positioning make it the cleaner choice for most used buyers.
