New & Used 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport for Sale nearSquamish, BC

Is the 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

The 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport earns a 7/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

It’s positioned firmly at the premium end of the luxury SUV market, and the tested SV Carbon version shows why: it’s described as the fastest and most extreme vehicle Land Rover has ever made. That lines up with the model’s appeal if you want a luxury SUV with serious presence, tasteful styling, and standout capability on any surface.

The trade-offs are real, though. You give up physical controls for critical functions, and the interior materials are described as cheaper than the last generation.

With 31.1% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

The 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is presented as a highly capable luxury SUV, but the expert assessment also flags poor reliability as a concern. Its performance hardware is substantial, with standard mild-hybrid gas powertrains, full-time 4WD, locking differentials, and adaptive dampers with air springs.

The performance content also points to a broad and sophisticated mechanical setup, including multiple powertrain choices and a low-range transfer case on most trims. On the cost side, the model’s pricing sits well into luxury territory, which can make long-term ownership expensive if repairs or wear items come up.

For used buyers, that means you should expect a potentially costly ownership experience if maintenance history is incomplete or if the vehicle has been driven hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is stylish and upscale in places, but the base setup is stripped of many physical controls, and the interior materials are described as less luxurious than before. Higher trims add more distinctive equipment and finishes, while the SV Carbon brings carbon-fibre exterior details, carbon wheels, and carbon ceramic brakes.
• Powertrain: You’ll find a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six, a plug-in hybrid version with up to 85 kilometres of gas-free driving, a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, and an SV tune with 626 hp. Every gas-only trim is a mild hybrid, and most trims get a low-range transfer case.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, a surround view camera system, front and rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention monitor. There are no safety option packages on higher trims.
• Infotainment: The main display is 13.1 inches. Apple CarPlay works in full screen, the factory navigation and audio interface are strong, and the instrument panel is configurable without being cluttered. The software is capable, but basic functions can be difficult to access.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada figures are incomplete, but the base 4.4-litre V8 is rated at 14.5 L/100 km city, 10.2 highway, and 12.6 combined. The SV engine is rated at 15.0 L/100 km city, 10.8 highway, and 13.1 combined.

Which 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport trim should I buy?

The 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is offered in 6 trim levels: S, Dynamic SE, Battersea Edition, Twenty Edition, Autobiography, and SV.

Here’s the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Range Rover Sport experience with the standard 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six, mild-hybrid assistance, full-time 4WD, locking differentials, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the badge and the fundamentals without chasing the pricier engines.
• Dynamic SE: This is the best-value trim if you want a meaningful step up. It adds the more powerful inline-six tune with an electric supercharger, and it can also be had with the plug-in hybrid powertrain or the V8. If you want the broadest mix of performance and flexibility, this is the trim to focus on.
• Battersea Edition: This trim is the plug-in hybrid-focused choice, with the 454 hp hybrid setup and up to 85 kilometres of gas-free driving. It suits you if you want the most electrified version of the standard lineup.
• Twenty Edition: This trim is the V8 celebration model, and it brings the 523 hp twin-turbo V8. It’s for buyers who want stronger straight-line performance and a more special-feeling specification.
• Autobiography: This is the more luxurious V8 trim, and it sits above the Twenty Edition in price. It’s the one to consider if you want the V8 with a more upscale positioning.
• SV: This is the performance flagship, with 626 hp and the most extreme hardware in the range. It’s the right pick if outright performance matters more than value.

There are no safety option packages on higher trims, so the standard safety equipment is the main safety story across the lineup.

Is the 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport safe?

The Range Rover Sport does not come with front knee airbags, a front central airbag that acts as the front passenger's left side airbag, or rear side airbags.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, a surround view camera system, front and rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a driver attention monitor. There are no safety option packages on higher trims and there is no hands-free driving system.

Should I buy a 2026 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2026 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2026 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• The SV Carbon brings the brand’s most extreme performance yet.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It offers the same stylish, sportier Range Rover Sport formula with minimal changes.

The bottom line: If you want the most current version with the SV Carbon’s extreme performance context and a decent share of good deals in the market, the 2026 is the one to target. If you’re shopping more for value than novelty, the 2025 remains the sensible alternative because the core formula changes very little.
